My "home" beer store. A really nice mix of good local (and not so local) beers. And they'll always ask if you'd like yours cold.

You should find the newest releases from Three Floyds, Pipeworks, Half Acre, Solemn Oath, Ale Syndicate, and Une Annee here. Regarding the not so local, I've noticed Maine Beer Co. (but I think the MO I purchased was a little old/skunky), Surly (Darkness), and Firestone Walker's Sucuba and Parabola.

They're active on Twitter and Instagram, so you can always see their new arrivals. You can also check beermenus.com, but that's updated less frequently.

Noble Grape is worth the trip because you'll likely find something rare here that sold out at Binny's two weeks ago. That's worth the extra dollar you'll spend per bottle/pack in my opinion.

A decent store for beer (hough more wine oriented), made better that they are next door to Lush. Between them, you can pick up a decent small box of beers. No splitting up individual bottles here. Decent service, butcher look of store. A microcosm of Westlake in terms of selection: some Boulevard, Founders (not available elsewhere) and a reasonable Shelton Brothers and Evil Twin selection. Also close to our downtown hotel, so one could grab a cab easily enough. If you have a car, its not far from the Hay Market so you can do both.

Stopped in this place after I checked out Lush right next door. I was really impressed by the offerings and the service from the start. You have to walk to the back of the store to get to the beer selection and everything is basically on shelving. There is also a little hidden cooler and the staff was asking everyone if they wanted a cold one when they bought something. The selection was all craft. You may be surprised to find something limited when you go in. I was able to find some Big John and 2010 Double Bastard well after the release of both.

Very small shop but well laid-out. Beer is only a few shelves, but it is all good beer and the staff seems knowledgeable and does keep some of their stock cold. Found some not-too-common selections like some AVBC brews.

I've only been in this place a few times (I have a good friend who lives nearby), but each time they've had some quality par-for-the-course crafts along with some surprising bottles that are a bit rarer.

Pretty cool spot, if I was a wine-head I might like it even more, as most of their shelf space is devoted to wine. Right next to Five Star, which is a decent bar, although I wish they changed their tap selection a little more often.

Small and concise is the name of the game at The Noble Grape. As stated previously, most of the store is devoted to wine (with the focus being quality wine under $20 bucks, good for them). Near the back of the store you will find 2 or 3 book cases filled with bombers and single bottles of different craft and import beers.

The focus is local beers like FFF, Bells, Half Acre, Jolly Pumpkin and some Stillwater, Lagunitas, etc. etc. A good selection. Well thought out, and good price points. Was able to score a FFF Bohemoth, which wasn't available too many other places. Sounds as though they get some limited releases like KBS, and they last a bit longer than some of the other major stores in the area.

I feel good about spending my money at small stores like this. Lush is right down the road, and they have a good selection as well, and after we did our beer shopping we hopped over to Flo for some good breakfast and a Bells Java Stout.

3/13:
Wandered in here after dinner and were never acknowledged despite saying hello to a passing staff member (skinny white hipster guy). Selection seemed stale and picked over, not much worth considering besides a couple of Pipeworks beers. Left without buying anything. Lush and PRFL run circles around this place.

This small shop is just a stone's throw from Lush West Town, but it holds it's own. Majority of the store's space is devoted to wine, but there is a tall shelf full of craft beers in the back, and a shelf of craft spirits too.

What matters here is quality over quantity. Locals from FFF (Arctic Panzer), Goose (assorted bombers), Metropolitan, Half Acre, Two Bros (3L Heavier Handed even), plus an eclectic selection from abroad (Chouffe, St. Bernardus, Italian beers) though the main focus is US craft. Green Flash, Jolly Pumpkin, Stillwater Artisan Ales, DFH (Theobroma and Sahtea), Brooklyn, Victory, Bells (Hopslam), Founders, and more.

The staff was friendly and helpful. They have a dedicated beer fridge in the back to get you a cold one of what's on the shelf. Prices were slightly cheaper than Lush, though they don't offer singles. Worth a look if you're in the neighborhood, combined with a stop at Lush West Town, Leopold (RIP 2013), Flo, Branch 27, or Five Star (if you really have to).
