From 22 oz bomber to pint glass

The brew is an apricot-orange in color, creamy and opaque. Little patches of lacing coat the glass as a small head recedes.

The bouquet is classic West Coast IPA - pine and citrus-pith and honey-like sugars. The aromas are bold and dank, like someone dumped some hop resin into the batch after fermenting.

The flavors are slightly more generic, at least for a beer geek in CA. Orange zest and pine at the front of the palate, met by a nutty malt-backbone. Not a lot of tropical nuances, and more astringent and bitter than sweet - reminds me of the way Stone hops their beers. Nice quick finish though, with a balance of bitter and sweet residuals between sips

Not a bad brew, nothing I'd rush out for again, but the first brew from Tioga and good enough to keep my eye on them.

Poured from bottle to glass. Smell is of a typical West Coast IPA, very hoppy but with earthy qualities; pine, grass, a little citrus. Colour looks unfiltered amber or yellow with a thick off white head that takes a couple minutes to dissipate. Tastes much like it smells. Harty hops and a variety of accompanying flavours, mainly pine and a little citrus, is quite enjoyable. Mouthfeel is medium towards heavy and the hops/pine definitely linger as an aftertaste. Take your time drinking this brew. I'm sure it goes great with spicy or marinated BBQ meats like pork or chicken. In fact, about right now that sounds like a great idea!

Received via trade from @soughtbygod and poured into my SN IPA glass.
Appearance: Nice golden hue with a thick three finger thick head. Minimal lacing
Smell: Pine and grapefruit.
Taste: Pine up front, in the middle and on the back end, some grassy flavor and grapefruit rind
Feel: Slightly high level of carbonation with some alcohol burn.
Overall: Good IPA but kind of one note. Pine resin and bitter hops.

This is pretty much an average west coast IPA. Much more hop than malt. Piney, citrus tones abound. This tends to be quite a bit better on tap opposed to bottle. An OK offering in bottle

Bottle shared by Curran tonight.

Pours a clear golden yellow, with a small half inch head, and a little bit of lacing.

Smells quite piney and perfumey, big hop aroma here, but not a whole lot of citrus..

This is definitely a tasty IPA, but it's not a particularly interesting IPA. It's got a lot of pine, some perfume, and grassy hop flavors, with a really large amount of bitterness, as the West Coast IPA tends to have. There's no real citrus that I can pick up, just industrial pine bitterness.

This is medium bodied, with a very crisp mouthfeel, and a higher level of carbonation.

This is certainly tasty, but like I said above, it's not particularly interesting or complex. Still good, though.

22oz bottle poured into a Bruery tulip.

A - Pours a translucent, slightly yeasty/dirty looking pale amber color with a short lasting finger high cap of rocky white foam that leaves behind a sticky coating of lacing on the glass.

S - Sweet maltose combined with tangerines and oranges, touches of caramel, a bit of yeastiness, mild hop bitterness. I don't see a date on the bottle, but the aroma indicates there is probably at least a couple of months of age on this bottle.

T - Malty sweetness at the base with the same citrusy mix of tangerines and oranges taking the lead in the flavor profile. Mid level hop bitterness - clean but without much punch. A touch of booziness.

M - Lightish medium body with a lighter carbonation level. An earthy hop bitterness that is bit on the dull side persists thru the finish. Malty, worty start up front clashes with the bitterness.

O - To be fair, this doesn't seem to be the freshest bottle, but I have no date code to confirm or deny this. Pretty blah for an IPA with dull hops and a heavy malt presence that overwhelms a bit and clashes at times with the hops that are there. I would try this again in hopes of getting a fresh bottle, but won't go out of my way either.

No head but good lacing on a clear golden with a copper hue body. Aroma of biscuit, resin, tangerine citrus and caramel. Flavor follows with more pine resin, tart citrus, caramel. medium body and moderate carbonation. Simple, a little too tangy, not all that bad but not very memorable.

Bottle courtesy of thebeerprophet. Perfect one finger white head with a nice pale golden color to the body. Uniform head that held for almost a minute; lacing is okay. Aroma is grapefruit, kumquat, and tangy unripened peach. Taste is boldly hopped, but the use of simcoe/cascade/crystal reminds me of citra and willamette. Slightly bitter, but with that nice unripened peach flavor as well. Mouthfeel is a tad watery.

This is the Double Dry Hopped version of this amazing Local favorite in Fresno, California. This was just released in bombers 2 weeks ago. It is bursting with flavor from the cap coming off to the last sip. Never disappointed with these guys. Once their tasting room is open, this is a must stop if you're a beer fan and in the central valley.

That is all.

Was in Visalia for my cousin's wedding, dipped into a corner market that was on a shithole website to check out the beer selection and grabbed this for $9/6. Pours a very dark appearance for an ipa, lots of brown rolling deep in this one. Plenty of carbonation yields a nice off white 1.34" deep head. Aroma picks up nicely, lots of pine aroma, makes you think you're tasting the redwoods almost. Mostly (Cartman voice).

Tastes like an ipa with a sticky tree in it. Lots of malt though, this one really pushes the boundaries of what a single ipa is, the seven and one half percent alcohol is there, but not bothersome, they paired up some heftier style malts and in good quantity that it makes that 7.5% warming and enjoyable.

Mouthfeel remains with strong Cascade hop character, this one is strongly hopped with the traditional hop varieties. This beer doesn't skimp on lack of ingredients, its big but not heavy. If they could pack that pine and everything into a slightly lighter body, I think this would be a very good beer instead of just good/pretty decent for a Visalia corner market.

Picked this up at a small-town store that had a few nice beers but nothing I can't get back home... except this one. I'd never heard of it but the tagline on their 6-pack carrier, "Drink Local," guilted me into trying it. Very happy with it.

It's above average overall, with everything I like: strong hops, good citrus aroma and a bit of fruitiness in the taste as well. It's not "like" any beer I can think of, that is, the flavor is unique, but well within the IPA family. This would be a great beer to always have on hand; anyone who likes IPAs would enjoy it, and it's rare enough that a lot of people will have never tried it.

Ice cold pint glass.

A: Straw, golden, nice thick head, decent lacing.

S: Citrus and pine dominant. Malty body and back with a fair amount of bitterness that lingers.

T: Piney, citrusy, bold.

M: Not syrupy thick but a substantial amount of body.

O: Great tasting, bold IPA, not a hop bomb but a tasty 7.5% Love to keep this on hand at my place.

I am surprised there aren't more reviews for this beer. I had one last night when I got home from work. I poured it from a bottle into a chilled glass and as always it had great head that left nice rings as I drank it.

The thing I love most about this IPA is the piney flavor the hop selection in this beer brings. Its mellow yellow color is nothing remarkable but I'm sure it's well within IPA parameters.

I also love the aroma from this beer, again it's piney, gotta love piney hops folks! They have this beer in our local Walmart, I know this is a local beer and maybe it's just so available where I live that I assumed more folks would know about this beer and there would be more reviews.

If you can get it where you live you should, if you like IPAs you'll be glad you did.

Poured into pint glass.

Appearance: Straw color, pours an inch of foamy white head that fades quickly.

Smell: Hoppy, pine resin, citrusy, biscuit malt.

Taste: Hoppy, pine resin, citrus, malty.

Mouthfeel: Light-medium bodied, good carbonation, creamy.

Overall: A decent IPA, tasted as though it may be a bit past its best by date. Not as hoppy as I like, but I tend to love big hop bombs.
