Amber to light brass color with plenty of haziness. There's a quarter inch head of eggshell white foam comprised of tiny bubbles. Aroma is earthy grains with lightly dank saison yeast. The taste is light wheat with a banana ester flavor at the back of the palate. The mouth is creamy, smooth, and dry. One of the better beers by Urban Chestnut.

Pours an effervescent honey color with a sliver of pearl colored head. Stays effervescent, average at best head retention & lacing

S: Pearskins & white grapes

T: Pears, slight yeasty dirtiness, dryness up front. Fruittyness dominates as this warms, veers towards over ripe orchard fruit; a little white pepper, a little bit more dryness. Finishes fruity with a little cinnamon & sparkling apple cider with a dash of honey & grainyness

MF: Medium body, lively carbonation, a little bit of stickiness

Drinks alright, fairly complex, not perfect but a very interesting saison

500mL bottle into a small pint glass

A - tall white head that is a mix of creamy and frothy. dissipates slowly. there is some serious carbonation with fast rising bubbles. cloudy and golden in color. ever so slight tint of amber in the middle of the beer. 3.75/5

S - banana ester and yeast right up front. some white bread with a light caramel note. grassy hops on the back end of the nose. 3.75/5

T - white bread along with a light caramelization right of the bat transitioning to a light banana ester that pairs with a lemony citrus and then finally to clean grassy hops with a slight earthiness that leave a light bitterness on the palate once the beer is washed down. transition points are easily to follow and the result is a nice layering of flavors. 4/5

M - very crisp with carbonation burn. light body up front transitions to a medium body by the middle with a drying astringency at the very end. very interesting layering of mouthfeels here. 4/5

O - certainly different than most Saisons that I have had. the banana ester aroma and flavor throws me a bit off but is a nice touch, especially without much in the way of a clove note. layering is done very nicely. 4/5

This one really generates some head as I easily get three fingers of foamy dough colored head. Head has decent retention and leaves scattered dots of lace as it fades. Body is like liquid gold with tones of honey. Nose is big and invigorating with a large dose of spicy zest. I didn't start putting my thoughts to paper till I had taken a few sips. I was really taken by how good this saison is. It is both creamy and zesty. Incredibly drinkable and dynamic all at once. Orange zest and vanilla cream dance with just the rite amount of spices on the palate. It does turn to a little bit yeasty thickness on the back of the tongue as it warms. This is a very good saison.

Poured from the tap a cloudy light orange yellow with a couple fingers of bright white head.

Aroma of lemon, white wine, yeast, table cracker and spicy herbal notes.

Taste matches the aroma. Tart taste of lemon zest, white wine, yeast, table cracker and spicy herbal notes.

Lighter bodied with a crisp carbonation.

Delicious. One of my local favorites.

Pours a cloudy, gold color. 1/3 inch head of a white color. Decent retention and decent lacing. Smells of pale malt, Euro yeast, hint of hop, slight earthy malt, and a hint of spice. Fits the style of a Saison / Farmhouse Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of spice, hint of hop, pale malt, hint of Euro yeast, hint of earthy malt, and a hint of lemon. Overall, good aroma, body, and blend.

Pours a light hazy golden wheat with a bubbly, thin head that dissipates fairly quickly. The nose is crisp, light with notes of Belgian yeast and wheat. I really enjoy this saison...more on the mild side in my opinion, but it makes this beer extremely drinkable. A hint of yeast funk, slightly dry with sweetness and bitterness well balanced. This is not the most complex saison but delicious in it's own right...as evidenced by my empty glass.

This is a straw colored, hazy brew with a firm white head. Soft twangy aroma, citric and floral. Spice and pale, light malt. Somewhat sweet with a yeast characteristic. Fruit is present in the taste. Well rounded and enjoyable. A solid saison.
