fresh growler fill from the Brewery today, poured into a curved pint glass.
A- a very pretty amber with orange highlights, almost translucent, a bit of chill haze. A pillowy, and impressive off-white head that leaves very nice lacing.
S-nose is mostly hops, if I had to guess, cascade. There's a bit of a biscuity malts under the orange rind hop aroma.
T- A really nice interplay of biscuity, caramel malts and the bittering hops. A balancing sweetness rides throughout the sip as well, and may be the only thing I wish was a little less prominent.. A nice drying bitterness ends the sip and invites the next.
M- has a really nice smooth and almost creamy mouthfeel until the mouth dries towards the end.
O- really, really well crafted. If you like Arrogant Bastard or the like, this will certainly scratch the itch.
