A: translucent golden with a nice head, decent lacing.

S: I really don't get much, but being at a bar may have some effect. Probably not enough to be able to tell the smell isn't strong. What I do get is bread and for some reason a light lemon smell.

T: pretty much one dimensional, but a good dimension. Bready, I get the rye malt characteristics, but otherwise an indistinct but clean bittering counterbalance. This taste pretty much sticks around a bit, fading fairly slowly into oblivion.

M: nice carbonation to add some feel, the body is decent on this one, as well.

O: I liked the beer in its simplicity, and have always enjoyed a rye beer. Not sure it's quite an IPA, maybe APA is better suited. Being in the 4% range, maybe it's a new style of session IPA, and I'd say it at least acts like one, in many fashions. If so, I think it's a well-balanced one, and more enjoyable than most of them.

Pours a hazy orange-tinted amber with a nice creamy off-white head (about one finger's worth). the head has great retention and leaves nice thick lacing throughout the glass. The aroma is euqally well-done, with nice big orange citrus and pine hops notes dominating. The taste closely mirrors the aroma, with just enough of a malt back-bone to hold the whole thing up and cut some of the hops. Given its robust flavor and aroma, you'd expect a heavier bodied beer, but this one is surprisingly light, but not too thin. All in all, this is a big-flavor session ale.

On-tap at RFD, Washington, DC

A: The beer is very hazy dark yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that died down, leaving lacing on the surface and down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of citrusy hops are present in the nose—oranges seem to stand out in particular.
T: Like the smell, the taste has flavors of orange citrus, which also contribute a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a little crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This IPA isn't that bitter but has a nice appearance and aromas of citrusy hops. It can be considered as sessionable.

On draft at Whole Foods in Alexandria, VA. The beer is cloudy and golden hued with a small white head. The aroma offers citrus and hops amidst a bready, malty body. Light bodied. Nice flavor. Easy drinking with minimal bitterness. Decent. A nice beer for a Spring day.
