12 oz bottle poured into a snifter.
A: Chocolate black with very light tan foamy top. Thumb and a half of foam.
S: Smell of raisins, honey, tea, currants, grapes.
T: Raisins, tea, toasted bonfire, milk chocolate and very dry finish of chocolate chip cookies/white bread/crackers.
M: Full- bodied, medium carbonated, slightly bitter and slightly acidic. Slick with no heat.
O: At first I thought the flavor was too subtle and the bite too dry. After a second bottle I no longer find the flavor lacking or without distinction. Definitely a good drinking man's porter with a flavor that one can adapt to without being overpowered.
Serving type: nitro-bottle
