I've heard than in recent times that they actually revamped this brew.
Served in a Port City tulip/snifter.
No freshness date, but this place is right up the street and it smelled pretty damn fresh to me.
A: Poured a pure melted orange popsicle orange with tons of little yeasties floating around and a nice pillowy off-white head.
S: Lots of hops and citrus... pure orange peel actually. I remember this thing being more towards the English IPA side last time I tried it a few years ago.
T: It tasted like a DIPA actually. Seriously, it was than compact hop-wise. Pure orange peel, fully sugared Orange Julius, with some grapefruit peel on the finish. Hoppy, hoppy, hoppy!
M: Seriously bitter and I don't really meant that as an absolute compliment. Nice carbonation and the bitterness cut through the sugar.
O: I was one my second when I started to make the bitter beer face. Seriously hoppy. Nice but I couldn't drink it often.

A: Finger full of off white head that quickly fell into the murkey copper colored liquid. It left a coat of lacing on the edge of the glass.
S: Dank, grapefuity and dark citrus hop aroma with a solid malt aroma underneath.
T: Very firm dank, reisonous bitterness that rolls over the pallet. As it adjusts the malts come through in the way of caramel and toast with some sweetness. It finishes with the grapefruit and citrus flavors but in a subdued way. kind of muted if you will.
M: A stickey sensation on the pallet from the hop oils. Medium bodied with a lower carbonation level.
O: The bitterness was nice, but the malt profile was a little too much for my liking in an IPA. Overall not great but worth a shot.

Had this one on tap at Finnegan's Wake here in town. Came out a crystal clear pale orange with a thick creamy white head on top. Good retention and lacing.
Nose is sweet and fruity. Pretty tame for an IPA. Some citrus zest, light floral hops. The mouth was a tad on the thin side as well, but it made for easy-drinking with my lunch.
Mild bitterness, some more citrus sweetness, sweet finish. This was an odd one. Not exactly what I was craving. With an overabundance of IPAs in the market now, this is probably one I won't revisit anytime soon.
