A thoroughly enjoyable oyster stout - a style which I had previously written off, and for which this beer has reinvigorated my curiosity.
On tap a local brewery, poured into tulip glass. Lovely deep black with about fb of light tan head. Smell somewhat muted, but hinted at cocoa, roasted malts, a hint of sea air/foam. Tastes is sweet roasted malts forward, some molasses sweetness, hint of semi sweet chocolate and smooth salty, briny counterpoint. Not as salty as a gose, but just enough to complement the sweetness. No shellfish notes (which I found unpalatable in more aggressive oyster stouts. Body is medium, minimal carbonation, silky smooth and well balanced.
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised - this is a lovely, well balanced stout with just the right amount of salty notes. Another solid beer from Port City.

Beer pours some nice off-white head. Beer itself is a black opaque color. Texture is interesting. A bit thin but not watery.
Smell and taste are similar. A nice salty brine note runs under the usual stout notes of roast malts and bitter hops. The different notes mix well. Lingering brine finish. Light chocolate notes but pretty much invisible.
The feel is good. It's a medium body beer with some nice biting carbonation that makes it even lighter.
Overall a pretty good oyster stout. Go for it.

Oysters, not in my beer. I was wrong, has a slight sea salt back flavor. As a stout it is good, with the oysters it is better. I would drink this beer again.
