Served in a flared pokal at Bliss.
I do enjoy a beer that cascades so prettily in the glass following a pour. After this display, the beer shows itself to be a light-ish sienna topped by a finger of dirty cream foam. The nose comprises rather light roasted malts, maple syrup, oak, walnut, mild honey, and a very light touch of chocolate milk. The taste holds notes of oak, walnut, nutmeg, black pepper, light graham crackers, flowers, and a decidedly light caress of orange peel. The body is a rather light medium, with a very light moderate carbonation, a smooth feel, and a pretty dry (almost crisp) finish. Overall, a very nicely-made English-style brown, one that (and this comes from experience) pairs well with a rich, savory burger.
