Went there on my first night in Vancouver at the request of a friend. When you walk in the bar is straight ahead. Sort of a U shaped establishment [evidently, there is a barbershop in the middle that forces the odd shape]. Hang a right at the bar and there is a decent amount of seating.
Place is classy, but not pretentious. Nice feel to it.
Beer menu is 6 pages long. Nice selection.
I was impressed with our server. She was friendly and knowledgeable. She made some recommendations [food and beer] that worked quite well.
The menu includes 6 types of mussels [good for a Belgian place], main menu items [around $19] as well as a price fix menu.
Oysters we had were OK, but nothing to get too excited about. Mussels were very nice. They also served some nice crispy chips, which were very good.
All beer was served in the correct glassware, which was a nice touch. Also, I was impressed that while we were there they had a beer training session going on for their waitstaff. Our waitress explained that this was a common. Nice to see a place that puts in the time/effort to adequately train their staff on beer.
Overall, a very pleasant experience.
