This beer is bland. It has very little taste, like beer water. Appearance is yellow, a nicer yellow than the piss yellow of american macros. Smell-nothing. Taste-nothing. Mouthfeel is ok.

This is a really meh beer. Nothing really special, not worth seeking out. I imagine it's the shit beer of Brazil. Though, not sure.

Macro, macro, macro.

Looks cheap and mass produced like dehydrated urine, although the bottle label was quite nice looking.

Smells like dry dusty residue at the bottom of an old bag of moth infested popcorn.

Tastes like a cheap and mass produced pilsner. There is some sort of spice to it that I can’t quite place my finger on. It’s refreshing and ads something to the taste. It’s like ginger but not quite.

The mouth feel is poor. My cheeks feel saturated and wrinkled like fingers after a long bath.

At first it seems as drinkable as any cheap pilsner but my stomach began telling me not to try a second about 9 ounces into my first bottle.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a pint glass.

Initial pour yielded an incredibly pale yellow brew with a soapy white head of perhaps 1/2" or so. The head diminished after a few minutes leaving behind a blotchy covering of bubbles. Lacing was moderate and consistent down the glass.

Aromas for this brew are a little heavier toward light malts than you might expect. There are some faint hops in there too, something a bit on the citrus side.

Very light, not dry - leaning toward sweet. Not a ton of character or body. This has the general mouthfeel and some of the flavors of a typical American macro brew. Disappointing. Its only real saving grace is that interesting light malt complexity. Carbonation is moderate to light and rather persistent. Finishes a bit quick with a longer linger of slightly bitter hops.

Although this isn't a great example of a German Pilsener, it does put a hurtin' on a thirsty mouth and it really isn't all that bad. When you put it up against other brews in its class, it really shows. I put this as a notch above average because it does get some of the little things right. It is definitely not something that I would seek out with any fervor.

12 oz brown long neck bottle with a bottled on date on the label.

Appearance: Sparkling brilliant yellowish clarity with a lace that holds together quite well.

Smell: Starchy, metallic, apple skin and mild cooked veggies show some off aromas. Nothing horrible but not something I’d expect in a lager.

Taste & Mouthfeel: Bitty mouth feel, light bodied. Skimpy on the malt and not much there for hops. The lazy crispness does nothing for me at all. Cooked corn and steely malt that lands on the palate in a metallic kind of way. Finishes with a very odd sweetness.

Notes: This is the kind of beer, in my opinion, that does not need to be exported to the US. Thank you but we have enough bland and odd tasting lagers in the US right now.

Purchased this today in Knoxville, Tn, at the Leaf and Ale, where I bought several unusual brews I had never tried. Tennessee prohibits sale of any beer 6.0% or above, except in liquor stores, and the Leaf and Ale is a beer shop so here goes. This 12 oz brown bottle(no freshness date) pours out a light yellow color, with a thin white head that lasts 8 seconds. No lacing. Nothing on the nose, other than some notes of malt and maybe some hops. Mouthfeel is dry and carbonated, even a bit crisp. Taste is reminiscent of a nearly flat Miller High Life. Faint taste of popcorn is the only thing I can describe.

Drinkable perhaps, and nothing really bad here. I just don't find anything about "Brazil's Premium Pilsen" to recommend it, other than it being from Brazil.

12 ouncer, my first brew from Brazil (?) Not expecting all that much...pours slightly cloudy and dull, very light yellow under a thin white film as well as a very fine sheet of lace, the nose is staight up raw rice. Thin and tasting of more rice and moderatly nasty. I'd stay away from this one if you are lloking for a quality beer experience. Maybe next time we have a het wave.

This pilsener poured a clear , light golden color , with a small light head , and a fair amount of lace. The aroma is of thin , light , and clean malt , a bit of green hop/ fruit , and a tinge of adjunct. The taste is mainly of thin pale malt flavor , slight grain, very slight hint of apple , some hop bite in the back, and a bit of crispness to the finish. The mouthfeel is thin with a slight edge of crispness. A drinkable brew , but... nothing special really.

A world beer offering that is iffy...

Poured a clear fizzy pale straw color. No lace. Aromas are grassy and corny. Flavor is very dry. Snappy finish. Not much to note in the flavor, save for a muted hop bitterness. Low body and thin. Poor Brazilans...can we send some Budwesier to them?

A 355ml bottle with a BB of Jun or Jul 2011 (can't quite make out the date). Picked up cheap from my local off-licence.

Poured into a Sam Smith's pint glass. A very pale straw colour that reminds one of dilute urine. Low carbonation levels. Forms a small white head of foam that disappears within seconds. Aroma is all but non-existant; the faintest hint of light grainy malt and possibly corn.

Tastes almost like fizzy water. Exceptionally light malt with a very faint sweetness. No hoppy notes or bitterness are discernible. A slight stale note in the background. Mouthfeel is the best feature - watery, but crisp and prickly. Virtually no aftertaste.

Not one of the greats. I suppose this might be acceptable in very hot weather when you just want refreshment, but it's still a piss poor excuse for beer. Avoid.

(Served in an American pint glass)

A-This beer pours a crystal clear pale yellow body with high carbonation and a thin film of white soapy foam.

S- sweet honey aroma with a hint of malt. Pretty clean aroma.

T- Very sweet maltyness with honey malt dominating. A faint hint of hop aroma but no bitterness or hop flavor. A bit of seltzer water and honey comb taste at the finish. As it warms more of the corn taste come through the honey malt flavor.

M- Light mouthfeel even though there was strong carbonation. No astringency or alcohol warmth.

D-I'm a bit of a sweet tooth so I kind of enjoyed this beer especially when it was ice cold. It reminds me of sitting in the tropics on the beach reaching for a thirst quenching beer. I could drink this over any adjunct-laden macro. It’s to sweet for a session beer but nice as a thirst quencher.

I tried this beer at Samba Brazilian Steakhouse in Madison.

It poured a nice light straw color, very little head. I think this was a very light pilsner - didn't really taste like others I've had. Very good though, I enjoyed this beer a lot. Good tasting, light bodied beer. I could have drank several of these but I wanted to try a few others.

355ml single bottle - what better thing to have while watching the replay of the Brazil/Cameroon game from earlier today?

This beer pours a clear, very pale golden straw colour, with two fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and chalky eggshell white head, which leaves some nice craggy webbed lace around the glass as it quickly abates.

It smells of sweet, sugary corn, rice pudding, a bit of paint thinner, bland, rather stale orchard fruit, and maybe a touch of wet, musty hay. The taste is gritty corn mash, pale grainy malt, a now indistinct, and fairly soft fruitiness, and very little in the way of hops, good or bad (so bad, by default).

The carbonation is nothing more than plainly frothy, the body medium-light in weight, and kind of clammy in its generic smoothness. It finishes off-dry, strangely, a grainy mustiness cutting deeply into the lingering corn-bred sweetness.

For the proclaimed style, this is obviously a non-starter - no hops, adjunct malts, for the most part, and zero crispness. However, this is another one of those worldly 'Pils' that probably works well enough when the situation and the climate are in agreement. It may be finally summer up here where the sun doesn't really set this time of year, but I don't think I'll be grabbing any more of these, Brazil advancing or not.

A - Pale greenish-grayish yellow with odd little flakes floating around. The head is small, crisp, and white and leaves a bit of foamy lace on the pint glass. This is a homely brew. Unfortunate looking really.

S - This is almost scentless, but what I can smell is like soapy fruit. Sort of like an apricot scented girly body wash or something.

T - Soft saaz notes are vaguely reminiscent of the style, but almost like a German Pils Light or something. This is really almost as flavorless as it is scentless, and what I really get is bland soapy mineral water... like flat Perrier.

M - Light bodied, clean, and slightly fruity on the neutral and nearly flavorless finish.

D - Blah. I'd pass on this one. It might serve a thirst-quenching role in the humidity of a Brazilian summer, but it's only slightly better than American Macro bland-brews.

Pours a very pale, light golden, and appears watery, but the initial nose is fresh and grainy, like an adjunct, but less carbonation. The taste is a rich and full maltiness, with a lot of sweetness and virtually no hoppy impression at all. I give Palma Luca credit for being smooth and full-bodied, and it's certainly heads above most American adjuncts, though it's not extraordinary or memorable.

Through the importers of Xingu black beer comes another interesting looking beer from Brazil. Its attractive retro label bears a freshness code if you look closely at its center. The "wild palm" pours a crystal clear golden body beneath a short head of creamy bright white foam that drops shortly but leaves some nice lacing about the glass. Sweetish malt combines with some floral notes in the nose; and its light-medium body and delicate carbonation lend a soft caress to the tongue. The flavor is sweet and not particularly grainy, yet its not candyish and it still manages to finish fairly drying as the sweetness fades rather quickly. Overall, the bottle looks better than the beer inside tastes.

Whoa! What a wretched experience this one was - possibly the worst beer I`ve tasted. Picked it up because I had never heard of it. Looks, smells, and tastes a lot like apple juice with some slight alcohol added. I taste no hops or bitterness, just apple juice of phantom origin. An aggressive pour gave no head, and the beer feels like water in the mouth. I tried to finish this one, I really did, but I was overwhelmed. Sets the bar for shite.

12oz brown bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours a golden yellow color with a thin white head. The aroma is malt, hay and just a touch of grass. The taste is some malt and a touch of hops but it seems to be significantly watered down and a big let down from the decent aroma. The mouthfeel is thin and watery much like the taste. Overall, this is a pretty boring lager that I will probably not purchase again.

I hope nobody is seriously calling this mess a German pilsner. I don't usually walk away from a beer, but I left nearly half of this at the bar. Essentially this tasted like well water with lemon cookie ground up and mixed in. Yes, the body was watery. No, it wasn't refreshing or pleasant. Steer clear.

It's very foamy with a hands worth of head on a clear, light straw colored body.
The aroma is faint, a whiff of hay.
The taste is moderately sweet with a touch of metallic bitterness.
A light body and moderate carbonation.
A solid "Meh" beer.
