A- Light brown with a red hued body and a nice creamy off-white head and good lacing

S- As a red ale should, nice and crisp malts and a hint of hops in there that adds to the crisp nose

T- A little hop presence up front and moves into a nice roasted, nutty malt middle and finishes with that roastiness.

M- Light bodied and moderate carbonation. Crisp and clean.

O- Fun to see a brewery new to me making such a solid beer. If I were able, this would be an all-day beer for me on vacation. The sessionable 5% abv is great.

This is my favorite beer in Cost Rica, now available in different locations in the central valley and coastal areas.
Appearance: Pours a reddish color, nice head that lingers for several minutes, forming a nice Belgium lace.
Smell: spicy, grainy and hoppy
Taste: clean crisp taste, a little sweet and bready with a good balance of bitterness
Mouth feel: medium bodied
Overall: Very good craft beer easy to drink

A great red ale! Found this brew in Costa Rica on tap and it hit the table with a reddish almost rusty color to it and about a finger of head which laced down the glass nicely. It smelled deep and malty with a hint of hops. It feels great going down and you get a nutty flavor with a great hop finish. Not overly carbonated, very clean finish, very crisp. This is not a heavily alcoholic brew. Its maybe 5-5.5%. Its a perfect year round beer and its great on a warm Cartago afternoon. I'm glad I brought some back with me.

Tough to say much about color or nose since I got a bottle and no glass. But the taste is pretty decent. Nice soft caramel malt with a little bit of hops on the finish. Medium mouthfeel.

Great to have something else to drink in Costa Rica other than imperiale. Tough to find but worth it.

This was the second beer that I was able to try from CRCBC. I found it at both La Hacienda and Cafe Milagro in Manuel Antonio. I was not too impressed with Libertas, but of course I wanted to try this one regardless. Poured into a glass. Reddish amber colored body, with nice carbonation and a beautifully white colored head. Wow, a nice looking beer. Smell was peppery and grassy. Taste was very nice. Finally, some malt in Costa Rica! What a pleasant surprise. This beer had a great malt flavor and base that really made this brew shine. So much more mouthfeel than anything else in that country. This beer really was the shining star in CR in my opinion. I enjoyed it on several occasions. Nice job with this one.
