Golden and clear, this take on the Belgian staple holds a complex floral aroma. Made with pilsner malt and using Belgian yeast, the brew is inspired by Trappist brewing tradition, offering a honeyed sweetness on the tongue, yet a satisfyingly dry finish. Pairs well with both complex and traditional cuisine. We freed the hops on this beer; be mindful, as it can be deceptively strong.

This is a very deceiving brew as far as ABV is concerned. I piles notes of sweet banana, honey. The malt balance is great hence the main reason it is deceiving. The write up above says 8.5% ABV. A bottle i saw at Hop City said 9.6% ABV. Great Tripel and another great brew from the guys up North Alabama at Yellowhammer. (320 characters)

Poured from 12 oz bottle into snifter.

A: Pours a crystal clear light golden yellow with one finger white head that settles quickly with little or no lacing.

S: Belgian yeast, banana, coriander, and honey.

T: Tons of honey up front mixed with some Belgian yeast funk and coriander spice. Some bready malts to balance things out.

M: Medium body no average carbonation. Finish is dry and slightly sweet.

O: Very nice American interpretation on a Belgian Tripel. One of my favorite Yellowhammer beers. (512 characters)

Many thanks to richj1970 for this bottle.

A - Pours a golden honey color that's slightly hazy (and eventually clears) and a big fluffy white head with cotton candy-like lacing sticks to the glass.

S - Barnyard funk, dankness, pears, Belgian spice, and slightly floral.

T - The honey is evident almost immediately and provides a nice malt base over which is a Belgian yeast funkiness, a dash of light colored fruit, coriander, and ends with a floral bitterness the knocks out the malt sweetness. Slightly bready and a little yeasty, could be "dangerously drinkable" at this ABV, it's detectable, but not much. Some light Belgian candy sugar comes through a little bit towards the end as well.

M - Medium body with a dry finish.

O - A nice Tripel and glad I had the opportunity to try this. (794 characters)

Served in a 12 ounce snifter at the J. Clyde in Birmingham. From notes. Reviewed 24 October 2011. The menu lists Miracle Worker as 8.5%.

A: No head. Translucent and slightly cloudy yellow. It looks almost like apple juice.

S: Sweet spice. It's a light smell -- perhaps some wheat in the malt? The fruit present is almost medicinally sweet, akin to cough syrup.

T: Better than expected! Noticeably a tripel, so points for nailing the style. Deep, complex layers of flavour...light fruit upfront (pear, grape) with a subdued spice that persists through the entire taste. A touch of licorice? Again the shadow of cough syrup, but it never quite takes hold. Tasty.

M: Slightly carbonated, but more flat than not.

O: It's good, especially for an Alabama tripel. I might not have another, but I would tentatively recommend it. (825 characters)

Another yellowhammer great. Can't say anything bad at all. Absolutely wonderful! Watch out for the 9% sneak up. (111 characters)
