Deep mahogany in color with a quarter inch khaki brown head on top. Brussels lacing. Wonderful aroma of chocolate malt with just a touch of roasted barley. The chocolate notes dominate the flavor with a light mount of bitterness from the roasted barley. The mouth is velvety smooth and creamy. (297 characters)

Demshitz brown pours a very dark brown with ruddy garnet highlights. It's darkness gives it an almost unfiltered look, though it is clear. Soft foamy head of light mocha coloring. Very nice looking brown ale here. Aroma is rather faint; roasted barley with a hint of the Willamette hops deep in there. Wish that aroma was stronger. Taste is smooth and grainy. Chocolate malts with equal hoppiness, more roasted character, finished with just a kiss of hops bitterness and light smokiness. Carbonation is noticeable but not too much or rough.

A decent sessionable brown ale. Nowhere near Upslope's brown, but a nice sipper. (623 characters)

Pours a nice dark brown color, nice carbonation, with a nice one-finger creamy off-white head, with some nice sticky lacing left behind. The nose is malty, with some nice chocolate, coffee notes. The taste is malty, chocolate, coffee notes. Medium body. Overall a nice brew. (323 characters)

Dark brown body with an initially very thick head that falls back to a thin yet rich and clinging foamy froth. Deeply sweet, dark roasted malt nose with a trace of roasted nuts. Warm, toasted grain flavors with a subtle cocoa back-flavor. Medium-heavy body; smooth and velvety mouthfeel.

A better than average brown ale with excellent emphasis on the nutty malt flavors and rich yet subtle semi-sweet body. Good depth and complexity. There is a very smooth hop bitterness that nicely complements the malt goodness. I will be going back to this one. (549 characters)

Roasty malts, cacao on the nose. Rich chocolate flavors. Sweetness from malts are not overpowering. Dry and clean finish but leaves you smacking your lips. (155 characters)

Apperance- Dark brown/caramel the way a good brown should be

Smell-sweet malty with a slight hop aromas

Taste- Nice malty back bone with hops downplayed

Mouthfeel- Very crisp and refreshing

Overall- Quality brown ale true to the style and really just an all around nice beer good to have on a late summer afternoon or even on the river, one of the best offering i have had from bonfire. (400 characters)
