A: poured black into a snifter with a small tan head that fades quickly to leave a ring around the glass
S: chocolate, caramel, roast malt and vanilla. the whiskey has greatly influenced the nose
T: a nice caramel and vanilla sweetness up front with some chocolate and slight roast malt flavors. the flavor from the barrels mingles well with the flavors of the beer. alcohol remains well hidden. sweet chocolate is very predominant in the flavor followed by the caramel and vanilla from the whiskey. slight oakyness to the beer as well. aftertaste is more chocolate, vanilla and caramel with some woody oak flavor.
M: medium in the mouth with soft carbonation. good for a porter and a slightly drying finish
O: Very Impressive. If this is their first foray into barrel aging beers it shows promise. Good whiskey barrel flavors without overpowering the base beer. I might have to start dumping a splash of Jack into bad beers instead of Maker's Mark

So this is actually for Still Jacked the 2013 edition of Jacked again. This is one of my favorite beers. You get a good amount of the the vanilla and flavors of the whiskey without it being overpowering. Comparatively speaking it is an excellent example of a barrel aged beer.
