The beer's given name is Epic Hop Bock.
A. A pale gold colour with a white head that didn't stick around too long or leave much lace.
S. Very grassy and pilsner-like at first, a hint of some piney, maybe floral, hops.
T. Sweet up front, even a hint of bubble gum perhaps, but then the hop character starts to kick in. I'm finding a particularly well balanced beer with a good bitter finish that's not overstated.
M. Crisp, light- to medium-bodied, dry finish.
O. Not bad at all. It has all the right qualities for a helles bock and is definitely a good beer for a hot summer day. I've had it at a few places and I reckon the best part is the middle half pint. It's been served too cold and needs to warm up a little, but it starts to fade towards the end of the pint. Really nice effort by the brewers though.
Serving type: on-tap
