Brown color in the glass, nice head. Sweet malt with modest roasted flavors and a touch of cocoa. Quite grainy, a little on the raw side. Some Black Patent kind of malt gives a bitter, sourish twang. Sometimes I get just a hint of plastic in the nose, but otherwise clean flavors. Kind of a chalky sense to the mouthfeel. Head is nice and the carbonation is pleasant.
Just a little odd but interesting to try. The only roasted or darker malt beer among the several this brewpub had on tap when I visited. Growlers filled for $9.

Thanks to htomsirveaux for this bomber.
A: Pours dark brown with half a finger of thin white head which subsides quickly. No lacing.
S: dms, sadly. I was looking forward to this one. The corn-y smell is fairly strong - certainly more than what would come from an adjunct lager. Slightly metallic as well. Not much else.
T: Again, overwhelmed by dms. Perhaps this is a bad bottle. There is a slight bittering hop finish and I can still pull hints of caramel and coffee. But the infection is fairly predominant.
M: Slightly slick mouthfeel as well. Medium body.
O: This could be a solid beer. I would love to try it again as it was meant to be. My apologies for reviewing an infected one - but adding a beer/pic seemed important. Photo to come soon
