Considered by many as an American strong, don’t be fooled by how easily this pale goes down. Created using a rich blend of Cascade, Centennial, Columbus and blended with a combination of domestic & imported malts for a refreshing, floral, and malty aroma topped off with a smooth, crisp taste.

It’s our brewers’ go-to after a long day working on the brewdeck.

On-tap at Ragged Point Inn and Resort, Ragged Point, CA

A: The beer is relatively clear yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high white head that died down, leaving lacing on the surface and sides of the glass and a collar around the edge.
S: Light aromas of sweet caramel malts and notes of citrusy hops are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of caramel malts along with notes of citrusy hops, the latter of which contributes a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels just about medium-bodied and a little crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer seems to be a little maltier compared to most APAs these days, but has a nice amount of crispness on the mouthfeel.

12 oz. bottle, no bottled on date present. My first beer from this brewery; acquired a single bottle of this stuff as part of a mixed six pack at the local Binny's. My label is a bit different than the beer pictured, and lists this as Tap It Brewing Co. Pale Ale, 'American Pale Ale' on the side, with a 6.00% abv.

Poured into a Duvel tulip snifter.

A - Bottle gushes a tad upon opening, but pours normal - yields a good golden orange body with lots of sediment and one finger of wispy white head. Head is foamy and leaves fat fluffy lacing behind. Looks very nice.

S - Aroma is dry, biscuity, bready, with notes of earthiness, grass, hay from the hops. A light but pleasant and traditional pale ale aroma. Malty above all else, with a bit of earthy yeast content.

T - Taste is the same: bready, biscuity, malty. Dry notes of earthy, herbal, grassy hops. Notes of bread, caramel, toast, lemons, and citrus. It turned out to be a pretty nice, classical interpretation of the style.

M - Feel is smooth & crisp. Bready, dry, grassy finish. Good carbonation, medium-bodied, and easy-drinking.

Overall, a decent example of the style. I look forward to trying more beers from this brewery.

Interesting. Slight smell and taste of roses. Some nice dry bitterness. Aftertaste fades quickly. Would be good with something barbecued. Generally quite good.
