12oz bottle from soughtbygod (thanks man!). No bottling info. Served in a Southern Tier snifter.
Pours hazy orange hued yellow with a half finger thick off white head. Plenty of lace.
Smells of citrus hops and sweet hay.
Taste is grassy hops, some bright citrus and biscuity malt.
Light body with a sharp carbonated zing. Bitter hops linger in the finish.
I'm not an APA type guy but this had more hop character than many IPAs I've tried. I may not go seeking it out but I'd definately drink it again if offered.

12oz bottle, from a rather dear six pack up here north of the 49th Parallel (I'm capitalizing because of the associated agent's more, um, agreeable pricing structures).
This beer pours a clear, pale golden yellow colour, with two fingers of weakly puffy, and mostly bubbly off-white head, which leaves some streaky Little Shop of Horrors lace around the glass as it slowly drains off.
It smells of bready, somewhat biscuity pale and caramel malt, understated and muddled citrus rind, mildly dank, earthy pine resin, and further grassy, leafy hop notes. The taste is actually led off by the hops, yet passively - pineapple, orange, and white grapefruit citrus kind of moping about - with an equally placid crackery, grainy pale malt holding center court, about which a few toffee/caramel notes dance, along with other plain leafy, piney, and floral hops.
The carbonation is clear and present, and generally frothy in bearing, the body on the light side of medium weight, and a bit tight on the palate in its attempt at a robust smoothness. It finishes off-dry, the gritty malt and increasingly acrid hops squaring off for our drinking pleasure.
A decent enough Yankee APA, nice to try an offering from this brewery without the necessary 6 months of age on it from the Advent Calendar, around here. Fresh, hoppy, and well balanced - I'm not entirely sad that I have another five of these to dole out or down myself.

On tap at Harry's. Pale golden body topped by a finger of clingy froth. Big hop aroma that's floral and citrusy with a slight herbal note. Malt lends little more than a hint of grain. Crisp and chuggable, this is great stuff. Floral, herbal, citrusy-spicy hop flavors lead into a clean an mildly bitter finish. Very dry with negligible malt presence. Tastes like they're using a lot of classic American hops in this, such as cascade and centennial, with maybe one newer hop to give it some additional kick.

Clear amber colored beer with a strong orange colored tinge to it. Good sized white head.
Smell is sweet and floral with a soapy aroma. Strong caramel with mild pine and grapefruit rind.
Starts out mild and slightly sweet with a medium bitterness level. Caramel and not much else, bitterness is substantial. Just not a lot of subtle flavor here, this is just beer.
Mouthfeel is good.
An OK beer from a local brewer.

Poured into a pint glass from a 12oz bottle.
A: Pours a thick, big white head about 3/4 of an inch. It has a very hazy dark golden color and appears to have minimal carbonation.
S: There is a nice amount of hops and citrus that come through in the smell. There are also some fruity and floral aromas present.
T: It is quite hoppy along with some hints of malts. There is a noticeable bitter finish but it isn't overpowering.
M: It has a medium body, but feels kind of flat. There is a lingering bitterness.
O: Overall, it's quite good and a fine example of the style. And it's local so that's a bonus.

12oz bottle no date – Standard pint glass
Notes taken on 11-27-13
A: Pours a pale golden amber color with mostly clear visibility. Only a slight hop haze going on. Thick and frothy eggshell white on top with incredible stay power and some sticky ribbons of lace that hug the glass as the drink progresses. Looks nice and healthy.
S: Smells of bready pale malts with a light kiss of caramel sweetness and some underlying citrus zest. Hops reveal more as I draw in some pine and grass mixed with light pineapple and some grapefruit. All good stuff here.
T: There is a bready cracker malt base as expected for an APA but it is dry not sweet. Only a dash of caramel character in there. Hoppy and full of bright citrus-orange and grapefruit with resinous pine. There is a moderate to relatively high amount of perceived bitterness and the alcohol is completely masked in flavor. Finishes out with more of a sour orange peel note and some dusty minerals. Pretty solid Pale ale actually.
M: Moderate to low filling from the body with a nice spritzy carbonation giving a bit of a creamy consistency to the mouth feel. Moderate peppering from the bitters with a nice dryness at the finish and soft lingering effect.
D: TapIt can make a good hoppy beer I will say that. Great balance here between the malty goodness and the hops.
B+ for sure.

Bottle to small snifter
App- While it was a bit darker in color for an APA it just seemed a bit off putting to me. A small impish head formed and was gone quickly. A touch of lace and that was it.
Smell- You can detect from the nose its hoppy but it was a bit more than that. It was hoppy but had an underlying note I cant place but seemed a bit rough to me.
Taste- It was pretty average maybe a bit above. It had a decent amount of hop bit for an APA and was paired and balanced by some nice malts.
Mouth- Medium bodied and medium carbonated. A bit wet with that residual hop bitter kick to it.
Drink- Thanks to Bman1113vr for this one. It was a nice start to a big tasting and bottle share. I liked the beginning of the beer but it had an off ending. I probably wont come back to this one.

Appearance: Clear golden amber with moderate head and carbonation. Heavy lacing.
Smell: Bready malts, citrus hops, caramel, grass.
Taste: Citrus, pine, malts, and herbs.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied and crisp, with a bitter hop finish.
The Verdict: Good beer. Crisp, refreshing, and very fresh taste. Maybe it tastes so fresh because the brewery is only an hour or so away. Nicely balanced APA.
