Poured three fingers of head on a clear, amber colored body.
The aroma is a nice mixture of mango, mandarin and pine.
The taste has a nice fizzy lemon beginning that rolls into a pine and grapefruit bitterfest.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.

Single 12 ounce bottle poured into its own branded shaker pint glass. On to the beer:

The yellow orange color of the beer has a moderate hazy appearance. To some surprise, the head forms thin on the pour and never thickens, though a few spots of lace clings to the glass. One smell and I know it's going to be a coarse adventure. That said, it's not hopeless. The smell of lycee, burnt caramel, and decaying leaves highlight, albeit unbalanced overall.

Tastes like faded hop juice, if such a thing were to exist. Sort of like Ruination IPA but withered down. There's candied grapefruit, plenty of resin, and a strong herbal aspect. Yes, IPA's aren't normally balanced, though the profile here is borderline whack. At least it tastes hoppy. It's medium bodied with some slick and lighter than average carbonation.

Tap it. Taste it. Okay with it. The IPA field is a crowded one and Tap It's version doesn't stand out.

Consumed August 17th, 2013 at The Fairplex in Pomona. Obtained form a mobile seller called the Draft Beer Depot.

Beer is a clear, orange-yellow with plenty of active carbonation and a creamy white one-finger head.

Aroma is a bit maltier than expected, with a touch of soap. Fruity, piney notes dominate, however.

Flavor - a little caramel malt then wham! Quite a bite from the combined ABV and crisp carbonation. Some grapefruit peel then very bitter on the finish. This is a big beer.

The mouthfeel is sharp and tingly and a tiny bit thick.

So glad to find this in a place that promised only macros. I would drink another pint of this if I found myself in the same situation in the future, which was standing around at 9:45 am on a Saturday morning, waiting for someone to complete a 5k foam run.

22oz Bomber
Binny's, Bloomingdale

This was the first I've seen of anything from Tap It Brewing Co. on the shelves here in IL so I figured the IPA should be fresh. An aggressive pour produces a dusky orange body with ample carbonation rushing to the tightly bubbled, oatmeal colored head. The head becomes creamy as it sits and leaves behind some spotty lacing.

The aroma is pretty ho-hum. A heavy dose of brown sugar sprinkled grapefruit leads the way with more brown sugar than grapefruit. Caramel and Saltine crackery malts are also pretty upfront in that order of intensity. As it warms an earthy character emerges. This IPA smells alright but if the nose is any indication it'll will be a little more balanced than I prefer.

I like the flavor profile more than I expected. The grapefruit is more of the candied rind variety than the brown sugar coated. The caramel malts are light and work well with the grapefruit. This is a pretty balanced pretty straightforward but, ultimately, enjoyable IPA. There's not much bitterness on the first few drinks but the bitterness builds to moderate halfway through a glass.

Medium bodied with a slick feel and moderate carbonation. The mouthfeel is pretty soft and a dryness creeps in a few seconds after the swallow. There's absolutely no discernable alcohol which is pretty impressive for a 7% IPA.

Tap It Brewing Co's IPA is an all around enjoyable beer. I don't usually care for IPAs of this nature, the very balanced variety, but this is an easy drinker and although not complex it's juicy enough to finish a bottle.

Served in a Lagunitas mason jar.

Feels so good to have my jar back, especially when a new California brewery finds its way to me. This stuff pours a clear brass topped by a finger of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises grapefruit peel, pine sap, light leek, light menthol, and a backbone of lightly-buttered biscuit. The taste brings in more of the same, with the sap's bitterness really shining through. The menthol and grapefruit peel combine to contribute their own brand of bland bitterness, all the while subduing the biscuit beneath their mixed will. The body is a light-leaning medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a drying finish. Overall, this is a meager, run-of-the-mill IPA that embraces the lack of balance in a negative way. We need less of these around here, not more...

Have had the opportunity to have this both in San Luis Obispo and locally in San Jose relatively fresh.

Very good IPA. I always get a pint (or two) when I find it.

Not too hoppy, fairly balance, and incredibly smooth.

A: Very clean copper look
S: Citrus medley
T: A mesh of hop and citrus, with the alcohol creeping up along with the slight foamy finish.

Enjoy a pint every time!
