On tap at the brewery. Served in a goblet.
Appearance - Deep amber body. Small cream head that doesn't last. Nothing after a while.
Smell - A bit of citrus. Huge phenolic character. Banana and clove. Appley esters. Caramel.
Taste - Super phenolic. The citrus hop is more potent. Caramel flavor, but dry. Some sweetness, but it isn't as strong as their other barleywines.
Mouthfeel - Very boozy with some hop bitterness. Medium heavy body.
Overall - Not as good as the other barleywines. Pretty good, but a clash of flavors.
Serving type: on-tap
