Atmosphere- Keeping things in context, this Caribbean island bar/restaurant, which is nestled in the french district, is inviting and cozy. It's off the beaten path (not overrun with tourists), and while it is small inside, it doesn't feel cramped at all. The renovated transitional interior works well for the place, and compliments the establishment's two specialties: pizza and beer.
Quality- Everything about this place screams quality; from a clean appearance to the proper glassware, to a well thought-out menu, everything was high quality. Oh, did I mention that this place didn't serve a single macrobrew?
Service- Service was top-notch. We were fortunate enough to have Earl, the owner, prepare our pizza before our very eyes, and help guide the selection of beer. All staff was very knowledgable about beer, and delivered prompt and friendly service.
Selection- The selection was incredible. As I mentioned, there wasn't a macrobrew on the entire menu. The beer was predominantly Belgian, with some quality English and German brews sprinkled in- almost everything in bottle. Actually, while I was there, Earl had jusr begun experimenting with a portable draught system.
Food- The pizza is to-die-for. Enough said.
Overall- Don't miss an opportunity to enjoy paradise within a paradise... there's nothing like sipping on a cool Orval after a hard day's play in St. Thomas' crystal blue waters!
