Served on tap into a nonic glass.
A- Poured a semi-clear light golden color with bright white soapy head that left splashy lace.
S- Big peppery, lemon, grassy, and grainy notes. Lighter on the bubblegum notes.
T- A very balanced saison with peppery, grassy, grainy, pilsner malt, and some light bubblegum notes.
M- Light bodied, semi-dry finish, and soft carbonation.
O- A very nice and clean saison with less prominent yeast expression than others in the style.

classic saison type here, with a very cool yeast with pitted ripe fruit flavors and smells that is definitely the defining element of this beer. my first from the commons, have heard good things. hazy blonde color with a lick of orange in it and several inches of airy light bright white head. some chunky dark brown yeast bits settle to the bottom of my red wine glass. the nose shows a lot of fruits, mostly from the yeast i have to suspect. i get apple on the nose, both green and red, but i also get yellow plum and asian pear, incredible. fuller wheat malt base is a nice launching pad, but this is really all about the yeast. the low alcohol and airy body make it really drinkable, maybe a little rich to be refreshing, but certainly a summery bouquet to this. creamy feel even with all the carbonation, and a touch of sweetness as it finishes that may reflect a little crystal malt. very well made, not the most interesting of beers, but the yeast here is memorable. eagerly looking forward to more beer from these guys now!

The beer pours a fairly strong and foamy head that lasts quite a while. The beer is clear and a pale yellow. The beer also leaves quite a bit of lacing. The beer has a strong earthy smell as well as a bit of dry fruit as well as a bready smell from the malts. The hops are fairly strong and bitter. The taste is similar the smell but with a stronger hop not. The hop is still bitter but the malts are downplayed even though they still add a bit of bready flavor. The beer has an interesting mouthfeel. The finish is drier than most saisons but is very crisp otherwise. The carbonation is biting. Overall, the beer is pretty good ad worth getting.
