Myrtle has a pleasant acidity from a Lactobacillus fermentation. Lemony Meridian hops grown in Silverton, OR enhance the citrus character of our house Lactobacillus strains and the fruity ester profile of our house farmhouse yeast.

Popping the cap releases a tart lemony nose with hints of floral and some other fruit. It pours hazy gold with a white 2” foam collar. The Lactobacillus produces an intense, very finely bubbled carbonation that practically dissolves in your mouth leaving a big lemony tart aftertaste that lingers. The lemon comes at the palate from the Lactobacillus, the citrusy farmhouse yeast and the lemony hops – each source a little different but they blend together and build on each other. Very refreshing.

750ml bottle, split, hill farmstead stemware

Lovely beer - apricot-orange body, full creamy white head and strong retention. Aromas of tart lemon, sugar, metal. Tart, very lemon-forward, lemonade-beer hybrid concoction, dough, pilsner malt. I like this bottle much more than the tap versions consumed down in PDX

750 mL bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Hazy golden yellow. Nice big white head. Lasts forever.

Smell - Lemony and estery. A bit of hay.

Taste - Lemony again. Lemon acidity, too. Wheaty in the middle. Very musty with a slight white wine finish.

Mouthfeel - Very light. Coats the mouth with sour aftertastes. Well carbonated.

Overall - Flavorful, but not complex.

Poured into a Commons tulip. A gusher needed 15 mins to calm down. Pours a nice orange color. Hints of citrus and lacto on the nose. Tart oj flavor. Great bubbly mouthfeel.

This is one of those rare beers that "makes a real impression." Pours a bit "head heavy" but perhaps because I tend to drink things near room temperature. Giant chalk white head settles down fast.

The nose is simply amazing. This may be one of the very few times I've rated a nose "5." This is rich, pure and assertive lemon oil, lemon verbena, lime all wraped in to a creamy lemon pie filling smell. It just screams come taste me and I won't disappoint.

Taste follows nose. Very lactic but in the best of ways. Rich lemon/lime sour yogurt, with an "almost sweet" character. I actually can't stop drinking this one. I'd planned on tasting and sharing with some others in the house but I'm damn near finished with the 750ml bottle just writing this review - drinking more than 2-4oz of a new beer and just downing it all is very rare for me - a true test that I really like this beer.

Finish is "almost sweet" lactic lemon, long lasting and nicely acidic, causing you to want more and more. The only negative on this one that some might see is a bit light on carbonation; which is just fine with me.

A really nice job on this one and an entire profile that will make this go really nice with lots of food options.

Poured from bottle into a tulip. Pours a light gold color with a foamy head.

The aromas are well balanced with notes of lemon peels, spices, florals, citrus, and some tart notes as well.

Medium/light bodied with very nice flavors of lemon peels, spices, and citrus notes. There is a real nice tartness on the back end that is very refreshing.

This is a very nice and refreshing. It's on the lighter side and is a well drinking saison.
