This brown ale pours from the bottle to a dark brown color and perfect clarity. It offers a nose that is one of sweet, lightly roasted malt and caramel. The foam level is a less than I would prefer, but it isn’t too bad and there is enough present that most will not notice.
Moving to the flavor, this beer is good- tasting overall and like its name suggests, it hits you from different directions because it is supposedly an ale that combines the qualities of three different types of ales into one. The standout flavor is caramel malt, but there are some other flavors present as well, such as chocolate, roasted malt, and toffee. There are some slightly bitter, earthy notes in the finish but the beer leans toward the sweet, malty side overall.
This beer is a little lighter in body than other brown ale, but there is enough good taste and quality to make this beer deserving of a try. I am not so sure I would refer to this as a German Alt, but judged as an American brown ale, it is a good- tasting brew that may not be the most complex on the planet, but still has enough good flavor to recommend.

Had this on tap with Sushi in Joplin tonight!
Pours mahogany with some tan head that drops away fairly quickish. Okay lacing & head retention
S: Some herbal hoppyness & faint toasty notes
T: Toasty malt & herbal hops up front. As this warms, a bit of roastyness comes through as well along with dryness & more toasty notes. Finishes semi-crisp with some toasty sweetness
Medium bodied, slightly over carbonated along with nice balance
An easy drinker that needs a little more malt depth & hop snap to make this a good Alt, would buy this again though...

A: pours a clear copper-brown with a finger of off-white head that fades into a thin ring with little lacing
S: dry roasted aromas with some nutty notes as well. Slightly sweet caramel malt notes bring up the finish.
T: dry, roasted nut flavors dominate with some faint chocolate notes and a slightly bitter and charred finish.
M: medium body and carbonation, this beer could benefit from a creamier body.
O: an alright beer, though nothing special. I'd like a bit less bitterness and a creamier body.

Side poured with standard vigor from a bottle into a pint glass. No stanges here, just pint glasses.
Appearance - Pours a clear reddish brown color, like that of fall leaves in a pile. Decent one finger head with minimal retention and lacing. Cool packaging and back story, I like the idea of the brew.
Smell - Toffee, malts, caramel, almost a wood smell in the brew is interesting. Light hops notes.
Taste - The caramel and toffee certainly make an appearance here, along with the light hops. Very delicate, not too overwhelming in any direction. The caramel and toffee washes over the palate, followed by malts and finishing with the hops.
Mouthfeel - Hop finish, smooth, medium bodied and medium carbonation.
Overall - A decent beer. I do like the packaging, it looks really cool. But it is just an average beer. I would drink it again, probably not going to buy it again. Just nothing really exciting at all about it.

12 oz bottle pours a clear, light brown color with a nice float of tan head. Nice retention and lacing.
Nose is some earthy and burnt toffee malt with a fairly significant grassy hop aroma. This beer smells pretty unique, I am not sure if I have had anything quite like it before.
Lots of malty flavors ranging from biscuity to caramel to even some chocolate. Hops are mostly on the back end with a fair amount of bitterness. Yeast throws out a few light fruit flavors and a bit of bread. It is not as rich as it looks or smells, but the body is solidly medium. This beer is a little beguiling, odd little critter. I like it well enough, and always glad to try a small, new brewery. Could use a few improvements, mainly some richness and sweetness would be nice, but overall Im pretty happy with a six-pack purchase.

Found this brew while vacationing in Missouri. Pours a reddish-brown from the bottle with an off-white/cream colored head that seemed to disappear at about half gone. Smells of sweetness from the malt. Tastes of sweetness also from the malt as well as a nutty/bready notes. I enjoy brown ales and this one I enjoyed more than some others I tried.
