Imperial Three Blind Mice, once Mother's little brown beer, is now all grown up and running the show. Rich and full bodied with chocolate, coffee, and caramel malt flavors, it bestows a noble hop nose and balanced finish on its loyal subjects. This is one regal brew fit for a king - out on the town or home in the castle.

This is an imperial version of their Brown Ale. I am not sure I have ever had an imperial brown before. Poured a dark brown into a standard wine glass (this is what we had). There was nice lacing from the chestnut colored head. The nose was of caramel, and some chocolate. At first I got a whiff of tobacco, but never again so I could be mistaken. Super smooth mouth feel: one of those that just kind of flows across your entire mouth: lips to throat. At 9.6 ABV they did a great job of masking the booze, which I greatly appreciated. An extremely good beer. I would drink again.

Light tan head. Dark brown. Very sweet caramel nose. Caramel flavor with some booziness and dark fruits. There's a mild coffee bitterness for a nice balance. There is also a definite tang to the flavor. Overall, very similar to a Scotch ale.
