January 2013: 330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6.0%, IBU 52. Dark amber to brown colour, large off-white head. Strong aroma of fruity American hops and crystal malts, notes of oranges. High level of carbonation. Medium sweet malts in the flavour, give way to distinct piney and grapefruity American hops. Bitter aftertaste. The best I’ve had from Brewfist so far, might buy again.

Tap @ Harvest Pub, Bologna - Pours cloudy amber with a medium white foamy head. Nice lacing. Aroma - Citrus - grapefruit, strong malty notes, caramel. Taste - Sweet, citrus - grapefruit, strong caramel malty middle, light bitter finish. Malty notes win over citrus here and therefore not really my cup of tea.

S: Hops.
T: Sour, hoppy, malty. Tastes nothing like an IPA.
F: Medium bodied, not very drinkable.
O: Very disappointed. Stay away.

Hazy copper/amber beer, 2-finger golden head, good retention.
Smell - toasted, caramel, grassy. Closer to lagers.
Taste - caramel, herbal hop bitterness.
Medium body, soft carbonation.
Not impressing at all.

11.2oz bottle. Poured out a clear, golden amber color with a small, white head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of bread crust, caramel and grasses. Sweet caramel and toffee taste with a mild grassy bitterness. Crisp and clean.

330ml bottle purchased at a Marui Marui (0101?) in Japan and served in my little hotel tumbler. I don't see any indication of a bottled on or best by date.
Pours hazy brownish amber with a pretty large light tan creamy head. Fades medium fast, leaves the beginnings of some heavy lacing on the side of my glass. Lots of carbonation. Smell is mildly grassy, mildly toasty.
Taste is caramelly with a slow mild hoppy middle and then a creamy smoothness, more of that caramel, finally a slight piney bitter finish.
Mouthfeel is a little heavy, surprisingly not sticky. Overall, it's not too bad. Nothing terribly notable to say about it, although the creaminess in the flavor is fairly interesting.

Got this one at the De Molen beer shop in Bodegraven.
From a bottle into a snifter
Best before 30 July 2014
IBU: 52
APPEARANCE: A slow foamer. Pours a huge, three plus finger, very loose, bubbly, foamy, off-white head with decent retention. Perfectly clear burnt orange in color with no carbonation evident. Odd. Head slowly fades to a foamy, soapy cap. Bubbly wisp remains leaving some foamy dots down the glass. Color was nice, but the head an abomination.
SMELL: Grainy nose. Bread, light melon and caramel with floral hops as well. Soapy notes with some spicy yeast too. Off for an IPA.
TASTE: Pretty awful. Sweet grain and bread up front with some soapy notes as well. Bold aftertaste of soapy hops, floral bitterness and some sweet bread and spicy yeast flavors lingers. Not good. Too grainy and soapy.
PALATE: Thin body and light on the palate with bubbly, airy carbonation. Goes down airy and bubbly, finishing dry on the palate. Bitterness lingers. Light, airy and over carbonated.
OVERALL: Another lousy Brewfist beer. Too grainy and spicy for the style, with a bomb full of carbonation, which ruins both the look and feel. Not worth the calories, and I'm starting to think this brewery is a lost cause. Avoid.
