Got this one at the De Molen beer shop in Bodegraven.

From a bottle into a snifter
Best before 30 May 2014
IBU: 24

APPEARANCE: Clear, light brown pour yields a huge, 3+ finger, loose, Swiss cheese, fizzy and foamy light tan head with lousy retention. Bistre brown body with higher levels of carbonation. Head fades quickly to a loose, foamy cap with piles of carbonation all over the place. A ring remains but leaves no lacing down the glass. Way too transparent and foamy.

SMELL: Lactose, sweet cream and caramel are there. Milk chocolate for sure with some roasted notes as well. Mostly lactose and chocolate. Medium strength.

TASTE: Not nearly as approachable as the nose. Much too carbonated too. Light burnt notes with lactose milk sugar up front. Not much though, as it begins rather empty. Medium strength and dry finish of roasted grain, stale coffee bitterness, light lactose and sweet cream with a touch of milk chocolate. Pretty mild in flavor with stale coffee as well. Meh.

PALATE: Lighter body and piles, and I mean piles of carbonation. Airy and bubbly going down, finishing very dry on the palate. Way too light and bubbly for the style.

OVERALL: Pretty bad. The mild flavors and stale coffee are at least tolerable, but the absurd amount of carbonation ruin both the look and feel, the latter of which makes this one a complete chore to drink. Drain enjoyed most of this one. Pass.

a uniquely american style undertaken by a new radical italian operation, i had high hopes, but this is easily my least favorite of the brewfist stuff to date. for one, its majorly thin, almost watery, just not at all the texture i look for in a stout, even a lighter one. the malt flavor is great, with the chocolate malted barley setting the stage for the actual cocoa, and the bitter roasted barley giving it some balance that is much needed. however, the yeast is weird, and while i usually like it in italian beer, even as their general defining element in my experience, its wrong for this beer, or its too old and gone weird, one or the other, but its off. astringent and sharp and just not meshing with mellow earthy chocolate notes. the flavor is actually good, its the feel and all that isnt there for me. carbonated like crazy too, which usually i like, but its too much for the lighter beer. i cant complain, it was a bargain bin buy, definitely been in the market a little while, but this is pretty unimpressive.

A 330ml bottle with a BB of April 2013. Picked up some time back from Trembling Madness in York. I'm curious as to how they decided on the name for this one.

Poured into a Delirium chalice. Bottle conditioned. A very dark brown hue that appears pitch black in the glass. Yields a large head of creamy light-brown foam that lasts for a couple of minutes before subsiding to a patchy surface layer. Some lacing. Aroma of intense roasted malt with notes of chocolate, coffee, burnt grain, molasses, a hint of syrup and faint earthy yeast. Some slightly sour overtones.

Tastes of roasted malt with a chocolate character and a dry finish. Notes of dark malt, burnt grain, chocolate, coffee, subtle molasses, mild lactic acid and earthy yeast. Slightly sweet, with a twinge of liquorice and a malty bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is smooth and lightly tingly, but thin and watery for the style. Somewhat astrigent, with an aftertaste of bitter roasted malt, mild cocoa and faint sourness.

Hmmmm, OK but not amazing. Looks alright, though the head fades rather quickly. The aroma is pretty good, with a nice blend of chocolate and roasted malt, but the flavour is less well-rounded. Body is thin and insubstantial - could certainly use beefing up for a creamier texture. A worthy effort that falls short of glory. No harm in trying it, but no need to seek it out.

12 oz bottle poured into TeKu

A- Jet black with tall-tall head that fades to almost nothing. Took forever to pour due to the amount of carbination
S- Just hints of coco and coffee... not very areomatic
T- A bit metalic and off-putting. Maybe a bit of coco and stale coffee
M- Too thin and carbinated for the style... paired with the taste, it is hard to drink

O- dissappointed. About half of this is headed for the drain.

Pours black with a small, rapidly dissipating head.
Nose shows milk chocolate, roasted malt and corn-like notes. Tempting, apart from the corn...
Similar milk chocolate and roasted malts as flavours, but very sweet. Needs more roasted malt and a stronger finish. End weakly.
Body seems watery and the carbonation is too high.

On cask @ Ma Che Siete Venuti A Fà in Rome. Half pint served in a small pint glass.

A - Dark brown with a thin layer of fluffy light brown head that is typical for cask beers.

S - Semi sweet chocolate, roast and a slight bitterness.

T - Roast, semi-sweet chocolate, brown sugar and a hitn of molasses.

M - Light to medium body. Creamy. Light carbonation.

Picked this up at my favorite beer store in Belgium, Dranken Geers. Dark brown, nearly black pour with nice two finger beige head with nice retention and lacing. The nose is nutty, sweet, and roasty with hints of cocoa, coffee, tobacco, and just a touch of smokiness. The taste follows suit with some strong nuttiness along with hints of cocoa, roasted coffee with milk, brown sugar, dark fruits, and some subtle milk chocolate. The mouthfeel is a bit fizzy and slightly thin with a sweet, dry finish. Overall, this felt more like a Porter to me. I'm not a fan of Milk Stouts, but this wasn't as sweet as most I've tried. Solid beer, but nothing special.

Pours a cloudy, dark brown color. 1/3 inch head of an off-white color. Decent retention and decent lacing. Smells of sweet malt, slight roasted malt, hint of chocolate, hint of yeast, hint of wood, and a hint of alcohol. Fits the style of a Milk / Sweet Stout. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of roasted malt, sweet malt, slight chocolate, hint of yeast, hint of alcohol, hint of oatmeal, slight hint of hop. Overall, not as good as I was expecting from Brewfist. Weak appearance, mild aroma, average feel, decent complexity, but weak body.

Garnet-black with creamy taupe head that fades fast. Coffee, dark brown sugar, a bit of smoke, and chocolate chip cookies - appetizing, if not deep.
Char, coffee ground, dark chocolate and a roasty hit to end plus some blackberries but no hops to speak of.
Iced latte finish and dry linger. Light to medium, soft, crisp.

Good flavor profile, hits the sweet spot between sweet and bitter. But the body lets it down - for having both wheat and oats, it's not notably smooth and is in fact almost thin, more Dry Irish than Milk. That drops this down to an average stout.
