Almost black, beautiful cappuccino colored foam, one finger.
The smell is very, very chocolately. Then dry fruits, nuts, some vanilla.
Malty and toasted taste, again chocolate, then the bitterness fron roasted and artichoke.
Full body, not too much.
Liquorice in the aftertaste, some coffee, again artichoke. Dry fruits.
Well done, not heavy at all.

Served in a wine glass from the bottle.
Appearance: deep dark brown color with a Slight burgundy tint coming off almost completely opaque. Tan to white head rising quarter of an inch off the body.
Smell: Liquor scent with hint of grapes. Smells good but lacking potency.
Taste:Sweet rioja with touch of oak wood feel.

Pours a deep dark chocolate brown with an overflowing fizzy deep beige head atop...with a gentle pour.Chocolate and brown sugar in the nose with light charred fruit as well.A bit "fizzy" in the feel wich means a little sharp.Earth and wood up front on the palate with unsweetened chocolate mild brown sugar in the finish,on the drier side.Eh the feel and the pour leaves something to be desired......

Sampled back on 1/9/16. Comes in a 330ml (11.2 ounce) bottle, Bottle chilled down to 36 degrees F in my beer cooler and poured in to a 12-ounce snifter glass.
Brew pours close to a pitch-black in color with a 1-finger beige foamy head with a good amount of lacing seen when sipped. Aroma is of dark roasted malts, dark fruit with some cocoa. Bit more going on with the taste as there is a hint of black licorice and molasses with some very light smoke also. Some light bitterness for the finish that is slightly dry also. Medium+-bodied with good carbonation. Overall, it was decent.

Enjoyed from the bottle in a snifter. This nice little "porter" pours a muddled brownish black with a HUGE light brown head of foam that dissipates to a thick blanket of fluffy foam with great lacing and retention. Nose of black strap molasses, licorice, dark berries, cocoa, and light smoke. Flavors follow the nose with sweet molasses and cocoa followed by a dark blackberry and blueberries note that has a touch of smoke in it that fades to a light black licorice and cocoa aftertaste. HIGHLY effervescent, too much so, with more carbonation than you can shake a stick at which detracts from the overall presentation. Good but could use some tweaking to remedy the foam, and judging from others notes this is a common occurrence.
