Bottle purchased at Nathaniel Square Corner Store in Rochester, NY.

Pours a hazy, opaque, pulpy looking orange, with a 1.5 inch head, and a little bit of lacing.

Smells very strongly of grapefruit juice and grapefruit peel, along with tart lemon, dirty funk, and tropical fruits.

This tastes great, almost like a wild grapefruit mimosa or something. Tons and tons of juicy and tart grapefruit flavor, along with a little bit of lactic acid, lots of Bretty funk, and some citrusy bitterness that's probably from the Galaxy and Mosaic hops. It's not particularly complex, due to the heavy handed use of grapefruit, but it's tasty and really refreshing.

This is medium bodied, with a juicy, almost pulpy mouthfeel, and a medium level of carbonation. It's really drinkable.

Another great Anchorage beer. The more I try from them the more I realize how great of a brewery they are.

A: 4 Hazy, orange-gold with a fairly large off-white head.

S: 4.25 Lots of lemon, grapefruit, and funk on the nose. A bit of a mineral aroma that works well with the brett and esters. Mild hops on the end that add some pine and more lemon.

T: 4.25 A touch sweet at first, followed quickly by grapefruit, pepper, saison yeast, and a big dose of funk. The light tartness from the brett compliments the oak flavors, but it all kind of gets a bit lost with the sweetness. Like the nose, the hops on the finish bring lemon and pine flavors which compliment the grapefruit very well and add a slightly bitter finish.

M: 4.25 Pretty full bodied and fairly viscous for a saison. There could be a bit more carbonation, but the dry finish helps out and makes the flavors linger.

O: 4.25 This beer is interesting and very easy drinking. It was a bit one dimensional at first (grapefruit really dominated), but as it opened up there was more going on and was quite balanced.
