750 ml bottle, as Anchorage Whiteout Wit Bier With Brett, soon available at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.5%, 20 IBU. Extremely pale yellow colour, moderately hazy. Moderate white head. Aroma of citrus / lemons, lemongrass, coriander, black pepper and dill. The flavour has the same elements as the aroma, medium dry, refreshing. Only a hint of brett and white wine.

Batch #5 April/2016

Pours a pale straw (around 2 SRM) with slight haze (not in the modern connotation.) Melon and spice on the nose. A grassy funk hits the palette first to be followed by zippy melon. A little citrus a little funk some spices and coriander and with it's age not too much more. Dry as all hell and just a pleasant beer to sip on a warmer day. Loving this right now and it's taking me back to a simpler time when my beer journey first began. Rustic comes to mind and best describes my experience here!

This is one of my absolute favorite beers. Number one it has Brett and Brett to me is the single most interesting yeast ever. It's tart without being overly acidic. It's authentic, the great beers of the 1800's were aged in wood and they had Brett. Those beers were likened to fine wine. Today's IPA are not as interesting as they could be if they employed the wonders of Brett. Secondly , this beer is a wit but if you didn't tell me it was I wouldn't have thought it to be predominantly so. The spices are all in harmony with each other and do not overpower as do not the hops or Brett. It's a beautifully balanced beer, which is more than I can say for 90% if the big IPA's out there that are too sweet and too hoppy and too much ,too much, too much. Third, drinkability of beverage (alcoholic or not) is extremely important, when you experience nothing but more and more pleasure in each sip. BRAVO ANCHORAGE.

Not really my "style," but decent for what it purports to be ... Too fizzy and thin for my taste ... I think when Miller suggested they were The Champagne of Beers this is what they had in mind.

Clear yellow liquid with a huge white head.
Brett forward beer with a hint of citrus peel.
Very dry, heavy effervescence, too much if you want my view.
Unidimensional, I don't really see why you would buy this beer, nothing stood out.

Opened at room temperature, the cork exploded out of the bottle when I was removing the cage. Not a gusher though. Pours a straw yellow, a stream of bubbles that looks very tornado like.

Wit beer spicy nose with an abundance of Brett. Coriander and clove well represented. Banana maybe even more so.

Taste wise, the base beer is intact, the Brett is strong but not overpowering. Coriander and clove, again, doing their magic. Tiny bit of citrus tartness adds to the fun. Dang, I'm enjoying this.

Barely into medium bodied, lively carbonation.

Oh, did I mention that it's very dry? Very very good.

Reviewed from notes. Poured from a 750 mL bottle into a Fat Head’s pint glass.

A: Pours a hazy straw color with a finger’s worth of white head. Despite a good amount of visible carbonation, the head
fades very rapidly. Appearance-wise, this looks like a Berliner.

S: A hefty Brettanomyces funk and barnyard up front. Light lactic tartness, with wheat and a pale two-row malt body. Light lemony citric acid. I’m not getting much wit character, but otherwise it’s nice enough.

T: Brett barnyard and funk again, with the lemony lactic tartness. The lightest of cracker malts and some wheat huskiness. Citric acidity and tart with some residual funk as it nears the swallow. Mild oak tannin dryness at the end, and there’s just a hint of clove right at and after the swallow as well. Tart, acidic and a bit yeasty in the hang.

M: A very light body, with a good amount of fine small-bubble carbonation sensation. Low alcohol presence.

O: The really struck me more as a Berliner than a traditional Wit in any sense. But otherwise quite enjoyable, if you’re able to ignore any style issues.

Hazy, light golden color. Aroma is mostly floral with brett notes and sweet lemon peel. Taste is floral and hoppy with wheat sweetness in the background and some hop bitterness on the finish. Well carbonated with dry mouthfeel.

First time offering and I was pleased...

A nice change from all the stouts and porters and what-nots of the winter season, this wit pours out beautifully yellow with bright white foam and it even has some lacing for added effect. The smell is distinctively lemons, which translates to the taste just as strong, if not more so. The taste has the added, and even spicy effect, of coriander and even some cinnamon. Mouthfeel was more carbonated than I prefer but it wasn't entirely distracting either, it did improve as it warmed. I liked this, I'm glad my son picked this up and decided to share with his old man...

i really like the flavor of this beer, i think its interesting as wits go, and i always have thought a little brett in the style would do wonders, and it surely does here. my critique is that its really flat, and while ive had the bottle in the cellar for a few years, it shouldnt be as flat as it is. the stillness is a major turnoff for me, but it doesnt prevent me from being stoked on the flavor profile. the brett really funks it up, and it goes great with the wit yeast thats highly belgian too, lots of fruitiness, white wine, oak, and tang. i get more citrus in this one than i usually do in the style, and this is far more evolved than almost any other wit i have had before. the peppercorns are a cool touch, subtle for me, but really a neat wrinkle. the coriander tastes toasted at first, and more herbaceous with the citrus as it warms. funky and woody to finish, and oddly delicate for how robustly flavored it is. it just needs some more carbonation to really be a special beer! hate when that happens. still, always a treat to drink beer from these guys, they are doing some of the coolest beers in the country. this is a real tasty wild wit.
