I've seen this before and never "pulled the trigger". Well screw it, time to dish out the cash and put it to work. Let's review what we got. This brew pours a gorgeous Pale blonde with a cloudy body. Nice white soapy crown. Well guess what, let me smell it before I put it in my mouth. First wave is a melange of aromas. Brett meatiness with some wheat and spices. Second wave of some juicy fruity hop goodness. On the backend some citric tones. Well it smells good enough, let's taste it. Just like the nose, first hits though is spices (coriander, pepper). Second is a mixture of subtle tropical hops and wheat. Brett funk meatiness also expands in the flavor but not on the extreme. The finish is slightly bitter-dry as a bone with a lingering lemon and herbal tea in the aftertaste. The feel is medium-light and refreshing, carb is tight and popping.
Overall: This is a damn fine brew. Refreshing, balanced and funky with still an earthy hop quality. Tropical goodness with spicy overtones. Do you crave Wits to be on the hoppy side? I know I do! This brew is recommended.

750 ml corked bottle poured in a chalice. The bottle has two intro paragraphs describing various frontiers of human achievement, plus some information about the white IPA in the bottle. Quite amusing. The beer pours yellow in color, with a thin white head. The first smell that hit my nose was grapefruit, then a bit of tangerine. A lot of citrus and fruit notes. The taste is like a fruit salad at first, transitioning to a bitter hop flavor once it reaches the back of your palette. The finish is a bit of oak and herbs, and the spices are noticeable. Overall, excellent.

Pours a clear straw yellow with rocky white head, rings of lace down the glass. Smell: dough, hay, citrus rind, pepper, barnyard and dried pineapple notes. Taste: orange citrus, light stone fruit sweetness, coriander. Herbal in the finish. Dry, slightly sticky finish. April 2014 bottling. Get the dregs in the glass and more dried pineapple and oak comes out.

Batch 6 from April 2014. 750ml C&C bottle into a Lost Abbey Teku.
Pours a hazy yello with big one finger white head that left huge lacing. Nose is big citrus fruits like tangerine and oranges, pineapple, mango, peaches, light funky brett, and mild oaky notes. Taste is big pineapple, mango, and peach. Brett yeast is totally there as is the lightest hint of the peppercorns. Don't know if I get kumquats, but citrus is big. Dry, hoppy, and clean. Easy to drink.
I'm surprised that this beer is as hoppy as it is from April. Love Galaxy. Love brett. Love Anchorage.
