Stopped her for lunch yesterday when in the area hitting the outlets and Peabody's. The place looks bigger on the inside than what I thought walking in. A small bar is to the left right when you walk in, and that's where I sat. There's 5 huge TVs on the walls, which for that small space, seems a bit much, but not a big deal. They had a good number of NC beers on tap, from Foothills, Catawba, Aviator, etc. There was one from a new-to-me NC brewery, Howard Lake out of Lenoir. They had their Black IPA on tap, so I gave that a try. The menu looked great, and some of the appetizers sounded amazing, though I didn't try any. I had their Foggy Rock Cheesesteak (with jalepenos), and it was freakin' great! The kitchen here, knows what their doing. The service was decent, but I can't expect the best when I sit in the bar area. This is somewhere I'd definitely stop in again for a bite and brew.

Taps focus on western N.C. Menu was solid with a lot of love ( a true family run establishment) The Bar staff always welcomes NC tap ideas/suggestions and specific bottle features.Several standards such as Blue moon and Fat tire but always a good feel for western NC. The Philly sands are to die for and the Owner/Chef puts out great specials to keep things fresh. Foothills, Natty Greene, and Catawba Brewing have two handles and are seasonal. Full Sports (MLB) and NFL (hopefully) on six HD screens!
