Purchased a sixer of this on my first visit to the brewery.
The beer pours a murky golden orange, hazy and pretty opaque. Virtually no head whatsoever, even with a vigorous pour, but wisps of white foam linger a little.
The aroma is concentrated in a really refreshing base malt caramel aroma, some piney hops shine through. Summery and certainly balanced between the hops and malt.
The flavor comes off a bit hop heavy, with good piney bitterness that is punctuated in its astringent finish. If kept on the front of your tongue, you can really pick up some of the caramel malt detected in the aroma. Certainly less balanced than I would have hoped.
The mouthfeel leaves a lot to be desired. Heavy, slick and such a low dose of carbonation that it feels like it just ain't ready. A single step above serving straight from the fermenter.
Overall, I was hoping for more balance and a lot more body from the mouthfeel. However it does showcase hops quite well and seems like it is better mouthfeel away from being a very decent beer.

Thanks to Schmittymack for sharing this one with us last Friday night. Thanks to Don as well. Bottle poured a clear amber with a small amber head. Aromas of bread, light caramel and light fruitiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, caramel and light fruitiness with a crisp dry finish.

4oz taster poured from the tap a translucent gold without a head and a tad bit of lace.
subtle piny hops aroma.
piney hops up front, lemon rind and citrus follows. very mild.
mild bitter, low carbonation, sweet malts follow.
drinkable - yep, easily all night.

Pours a very nice mid-dark copper color with good head and a bit of nice lacing. Excellent hoppy scent, slight citrus and pine, along with a nice malt sweetness in the back. Very good taste, a wonderfully deep hoppy beer without going overboard, very nice American hop attributes, with a very nice solid and sweet maltiness. Goes down very well, with just the slightest roughness from the hops.

Copper/amber arrived with a quarter inch of white frothy head that collapsed in a minute or two.
Smells of biscuit and honey malts melded well with astringent hops.
Taste is sweet malts with some citric hops; not too much of either. Well balanced and happy. One of LBC's more consistent and better recipes, served consistently well. Strong representative of an English-style bitter, English in its heritage and American in its presentation.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied. Would prefer more carbonation and better head retention as well as greater clarity of flavor. More hops, or better stated, newer more assertive American hop varieties would bring it up to speed with changes in the APA style. That would be welcome. We're always harshest to those closest to us, I guess.
