This beer pours a tan amber in color. Aroma is reminiscent of orange peel, citrus, and marmalade. It’s quite a citrus salad. The taste is bitter and hoppy with some grassy pine. It finishes with a citrusy-tangerine orange character. Enjoyable enough.

Draft at Ale Arsenal. Similar to the Chinook single origin IPA but slightly improved. Bit more aromatic and fruity, though still leans toward the bittering hops. Malty, semi-sweet, somewhat abrasive in the finish. Weighty on the palate. I liked it for the first few ounces, but taking down a whole pint was a chore.

Pours a clear dark honey orange with a foamy tan head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, citrus fruit, citrus zest, and slight tropical fruit aromas. Taste is much the same with tropical fruit, citrus zest, and slight herbal hop flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with nice citrus and tropical hop characteristics that are slightly better in the smell to me.

Serving type: bottle.
