375ml bottle. Poured into a Side Project stemmed glass 9/19/2014.

A- Cloudy, medium-dark orange body with minimal white head that dissipates into nothing quite quickly. Zero retention time, pretty much. No collar or lacing. [3.25]

S- Lot of yogurty lactate and acetic vinegar- essentially quite sour. Musty oak, a bit of acidic lemon. A small essence of blackberry tartness, but I don't feel confident that I would be able to pick it out in a blind tasting compared to other Farmer's Reserve beers. [4]

F- Warhead sour with a lot of lactate, more so than the acetic vinegar. A small bit of oak, white wine grape with a finish similar to blackberry tartness. Again, I'd be hard pressed to identify blackberry as a major contributor to the overall flavour of the beer. It is certainly more subtle than other blackberry sours out there. Still, very tasty and those of you who like straight up sours will enjoy this. [4]

M- Medium bodied, just about the right amount of carbonation despite the minimal head- perhaps it just retains the carbon dioxide better? Not difficult to drink despite how sour it is, as the blackberry tartness doesn't linger for long. [3.75]

O- Quite sour, not a ton of blackberry character but still a more than solid AWA. [4]

A: Burnt red-orange.

S: Almanac funk, lemons, faint blackberry.

T: Good puckering sourness. Lemons, apples, yeast funk. Not much fruit in the flavor, just a bit of sweetness on the finish.

M: Dry, puckering, with a sweet finish.

O: Another good sour from Almanac but could definitely use more fruit.
