This was my favorite beer during a UFC bottle share in December 2015.
Pours yellow-light amber, produced a surprisingly large 3/4" white head for a sour ipa. Way more aromatic than I would have expected a Simcoe hopped beer. Nice lush orange, grapefruit and tangerine notes out of it, plenty of lactic sourness as well in the smell.
Taste was quite enjoyable. All that lightly acidic juicy citrus and pineapple hop notes meet a clean lactic sourness and firm bitterness. Body is light and neutral. Alcohol doesn't sting or even show itself. How did they get all these fruit flavors out of just the Simcoe hop? Like I'm legit wondering why this is so good? And why they don't make it anymore? This is powerful with a deft hand. Its plenty sour maybe a 7 on the 10pt scale, but it doesn't burn a whole in your stomach. Bring it back!

This is another great dry hopped sour from Almanac. They just know what they are doing and it seems like they can use just about any type of hop to pair with their legendary yeast strain.

Shared on 6/5/16. Pours a golden yellow will small white head that quickly disappears. Good funk on the nose that intermingles with citrus notes. Taste brings sour/citrus to the palate, but no real "heartburn" effect, so can definitely drink a lot of this. Would drink again.
