thanks to Brandon for sharing this, enjoyed chilled from the bottle in a glass.
The color is a golden hazed color with quick to drop head of white. The smell has fruity tropical hop scents with herbal aromatics and slight sour smell of wild yeast and wine barrel accenting. The feel is great lightly tangy up front with some moderate carbonation buoying the sour texture which increases with a mild sweetness and bitterness from the hops is mild.
The taste of the azacca is interesting and complimentary with a slight pineapple and herbal taste which goes well with the tangy yeast flavors and subtle wine flavor from the barrel which have some astringent and perhaps tannic qualities to add to the intensity of this sour ale. This is not very bitter but I like the way the hops are utilized to compliment the tartness of this wild ale. I recommend this to fans of the style as it is a well made and flavorful wild ale with the increased complexity of the hops in the aroma and wine barrel qualities are represented in the taste.

Tap @ Brewdog Bristol - Pours cloudy golden with a thin white foamy head. Nice lacing. Medium carbonation. Aroma - Ripe orchard fruits- apples, tropical fruit notes - kiwi. Taste - Sweet, ripe orchard fruits - apples, tropical fruit notes, crisp tart finish. Nice well hopped farmhouse ale.

Poured into a tall tulip, the appearance was a hazy burnt yellow color with a finger’s worth of white foamy to messy head. Mostly messy lacing, semi-sticky. The aroma starts off with a big sour lemon flowing into a nice semi-sweet to bitter dry hopped grassy sweet hops. Lemongrass subtleties. Tweaked semi-white pepper spice underneath. Nice fresh/bright crispness all around. Some pineapple. Light Stonefruit. The flavor leans sour initially with a sly crisp sour lemon/grassy hops. Subtle malts, seem sour-ed appropriately. Fresh light smooth sour aftertaste flowing into the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Good carbonation. Overall, really nice dry hopped sour ale that I would preferably have again in the Summer.

Golden straw with thin white head
Smells of green apple and lemon rind
Crisp, refreshing, a little funky
The amount of tartness is very refreshing...not a puckering sour, much more crisp and balanced

This was about the same as most of the other dry hopped sours Almanac does. It was super tart, clean, and crisp. I felt like the hop character was not quite as good as many of the others, but still very enjoyable.
