A: Pours a dark, rich brown with a large, effervescent light brown head. Nice head retention with speckled bits of lacing left behind.
S: Lots and lots of chocolate. Reminds me a lot of Samuel Smith Organic Chocolate Stout in fact. Creamy sweet chocolate. Simple but delicious.
T: Lots of chocolate up front. Shocking, I know. Roasted malt actually pokes through here with some smoke and char in the middle. A hint of vanilla in here too. Sweetness fades away into the finish, lending a bitter, almost acrid smoke and char flavor with hints of bitter bitter dark chocolate.
M: Somewhat thin and borderline watery (only 5.5%) but creamy and smooth at the same time.
O: Not bad at all. Nice light chocolate porter. Chocolate is tasty and prevents this beer from being a little too simple. Light and easy drinking. Nice!
