Nice pour, dark brown, almost black with a fine off white head, nice lacing down the glass too.
Aromas are of bitter bakers chocolate. A definite hop note, that is pretty earthy.
Taste is light up front, some creamy sweetness, light cocoa and roasted nuts. Finish is crisp and clean, with some light mineral hop bitterness.
Mouthfeel is thin and lacks body.
Overall, a pretty nice porter. Almanac redeems themselves with this one, because the Extra Pale I had before was pretty forgettable. But this is pretty tasty and worth trying.
