American Wild Ale |  7.80% ABV

Notes/Commercial Description:
This barrel-aged ale is a celebration of the California autumn harvest. Brewed with heirloom pumpkins from La Tercera Farms in Bodega Bay, crisp Fuyu persimmons from Hamada Farms in the San Joaquin Valley and fresh ginger from the Santa Clara Valley, then aged for over a year in white wine barrels to create a deliciously complex wild ale.

A: Pours a hazy pale golden color with a one finger bone white head. A steady stream of carbonation billows up from the bottom of the glass.

S: A lot of tart underripe orchard fruit on the nose. White peach, nectarine, green apple, some earthy ginger and some golden delicious apple skin. A light touch of spice as well.

T: Opens on a pretty nice sour note with some persimmon, lemon hard candy, a light hit of ginger. Finish brings just a hint of pumpkin with a touch of baking spice, big white wine note and some light baked apple. Finishes a bit plain, but a really enjoyable sour. Almanac is killing it.
