This was my very first Gose so I had no idea what to expect with this, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Smell has lots of green apples, lemon, coriander. Taste is very floral, fruity, lots of citrus, and the sea salt water background with minerals. Slight (but not bad) salt water aftertaste. Good first go into the Gose world!

Thanks to mrbubbler for sharing this one at Tieman's tasting.

Pours a hazy golden yellow with a foamy off-white head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. No lacing on the drink down. Smell is malt, grain, spice, and slight salt aromas. Taste is much the same with slightly sour floral and spice flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is tasty but has a much better smell in my opinion.

On tap at Blue Palms' 5th Anniversary.

Oooo baby, now we are talking. Light and feathery like Candice Swanapoel's under-drawers. I mean, I can have this in my mouth for days. 80 plus degrees out and the sun is hitting me like Tyson on Spinx, but I don't care. Flowering Gose is keeping me well and content.

Served in 10oz goblet. Poured a hazy golden straw yellow color, with no head, thus no retention or lacing.

The aroma was pleasantly grain forward, with a nice yeast component, a hint of salt, maybe a bit of funk, and a floral and/or fruity scent around the edges. The taste had all the same features, just more noticeable and better defined. The beer had a slightly funky finish.

The body was light, smooth and crisp, with a nicely dry finish. Drinkability was smooth and easy, you could easily have a couple of these in a row. Overall, a pretty good brew, and one of the better examples of the style I've had. Certainly worth trying if you see it,

Reviewed from notes. Enjoyed on tap at Albany Taproom on 13 August 2013.

A: Pours a cloudy yellow with little to no head. Sort of an uninspiring appearance.

S: Smells nicely balanced with an earthy character, some tartness, and a lightly citric aroma.

T/M: Prickly carbonation leads into a tart earthy character over a fairly weak malt backbone. A nice, citrusy, acidic, crisp, refreshing, and tart finish. Mouthfeel is a little drying and astringent, light, with moderate carbonation. The finish is lightly wheaty and acidic.

Overall: I enjoyed this. I don't have much experience with gose as a style, but I liked this beer.

Another first pour at Provisions market.

A- a cloudy dark golden tanish beer opaque with a light dirty white lacing that lingers.

S- Saison yeast, coriander, floral, sweet, light funk.

T- floral, warm, lightly sweet, saison yeast, light hop, salty backbone. Wheat.

M- light medium body really tasty. Flavor lingers with the help of a lite carbonation.

O- a rare treat, a great summer beer. Really eloquent. Would be amazing with a seasonal fish dish. So far my favorite of the night would love to drink more.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy orange/yellow/gold color with a small white head.

Smell: The scent comes off as very floral and earthy. Light citrus and maybe a hint of coriander.

Taste: Nice earthy taste with a clean citrus tartness. Since this is a Gose, I was expecting a decent salt presence, however the salt came through as very light on this one. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, just different.

Mouthfeel: Nice tingling from the tartness, medium bodied with good carbonation.

Overall: Tart, refreshing, and lightly spicy, this is a great beer for late summer and early fall.
