A - Great looking beer. Bright, clear orange gold body. Creamy off-white head has nice retention and lace.
S - Sweet, unfermented malt sugars dominate the nose. Edges of mellon, smoke, and honey.
T - Strange profile. Opens sweet before a sharp spike of bitter kicks your plate, and then edges sweet and fruity as the flavor profile races off your palate. The sweetness is malt sugar, honey, and melon, and the bitterness is plantlike and resiny.
M - Smooth, medium-full body with great staying power. Low carbonation.
O - Overly sweet with a strange, distracting flavor profile.

Served in a footed glass at Ale Arsenal. From notes. Reviewed 24 September 2013.
A: pale gold. Clear. Creamy head. Heavy lace.
S: Super faint. Citrusy?
T: spicy. Earthy. Aromatic. Very weird, bitter finish.
M: Full mouthfeel. Astringent aftertaste.
O: I don't love it. Wouldn't have again. Doesn't seem representative of the style.

Amber-tinged gold with persistent white film that rims instantly and crusts like mad.
Big, juicy orange Wine Gum nose.
Jammy orange and mango with some light toffee, with light lemon, pine and sap hops.
Fruit salad end and tart ending.
Light, oily, some chew.
Looks great, smells dern tasty, and yet.... The heat is buried, which makes it very drinkable, but that's the problem - quaffs with no complexity or sense of freshness. Dull, in the end.
