Basically, this is a big open pool hall with a bar in the middle. They also have darts, poker, and a bunch of pinball machines.
This place has a fantastic draught beer selection with over 50 taps. Pours are proportional to ABV% and the beers I had were served in the correct glassware.
I only ate bar food (Wings, Nachos, etc.) but what I had was good with large portion sizes for your money.
Service left a little to be desired. It seemed to take a while to order and I sat with an empty glass for a while every time I finished a beer. The servers were friendly and good looking when they did come around though so that kind of made up for it, almost.

My wife and I stopped here for a quick dinner and a beer while traveling. It was a cold Thursday night and things were slow, so we had a choice of seating and the full attention of our server. The place is pretty much a typical sports bar with all of its TVs, but I have nothing against TVs. Music played in the background and was just loud enough to enjoy it. The extensive tap list was impressive, and may have been temporarily loaded with some Founders goodies because of a tap takeover about two weeks ago. With the number of taps it was not difficult to order a few beers that we have not yet tried.
The food menu is not extensive, and is pretty typical of a sports bar. There is something available for everyone. We ordered a pizza to split, and it had the thickest crust that I think I've ever had on a pizza. Very good. If we're in the area again we'll stop back.

Stopped by here for the Michigan weird beer and food festival. Large open seating for a few hundred. Flat screens everywhere, pool tables and Texas hold-em. Many things to keep you busy while enjoying a good beer. The food menu is decent and the quality above average. They have an extensive tap list. My 2 complaints are the loud music playing the entire time we were there. Hard to have a conversation with others in the group. CLEAN YOUR TAPS. Sampled over 20 beers and all in our party tasted the same funk in each one due to the dirty tap lines. Any place you sit gives you a view of a flat screen TV. The tap list here is solid with nothing too crazy.

This bar used to be a cheezy pickup joint that got shut down for too many under age violations. Shark Club moved in. I now Shark Clubs and they were good for what they were...a pool place with lots of TV's and eye candy.
However, I was thrilled when I saw that they just tapped 68 beers. I HAD to go visit and I am glad I did. Their beer list is amazing with many local and world beers. They revolve new beers in frequently. Some common and some not so much. The beers are very reasonably priced and are served the correct way (ie temps/glassware). Our waitress was fairly knowledgeable about the products.
They also have a "beer geek" club. For each tap beer you try, the add it to your list. As you hit certain points, you get free appetizers. You also get emails regarding new taps, beer functions, etc. They even have classes/tastings. Very cool. This isn't your usual Shark Club and that is a good thing IMO.
As for the atmosphere, it may or may not be what you are looking for. It is very large, has an outside patio with fireplace, and many TV's. The only thing I don't care for is that the music can be too loud, but maybe I am just getting too old. I generally don't go there during peak times/days.
Food is OK. I think if you stick to "bar food" like burgers, nachos etc., it is quite good. I have also tried steak and chicken and it was just so-so.
Overall, I love the direction the Shark Club is going. If you are looking for a quiet place and fine dining, you could do better. If you are looking for an INCREDIBLE beer selection at fair prices and a manager who obviously takes the craft beer industry seriously, this it in the Howell, MI area. Fun place to have a couple beers after a long week. Maybe watch a game and enjoy.
