Had this on tap at Shotwell's in the Mission, SF.

Pours blonde with a thick head and just a bit of lacing that dissipates as it warms. Looks right on for a tripel, just a bit of opaqueness through the glass.

Smell is not incredibly nice - The issue comes from a skunky, old rag smell that permeates the yeasty, fruity, clover driven typical tripel nose. This exists, but its hard for it to shine through.

Taste is quite nice, its an interesting mix of fruit, spicey yeast and a nice hoppy kick at the end...however, this is way more of a Belgian IPA than a Tripel, we all agreed this thing has waaay too much hoppy character to qualify for the style...still though, were in SF, so we like hops so what the hell, 4.0 for the taste.

Feel is good, a bit light and lagery for me for some reason, didn't quite hit the belgian mouthfeel thing head on.

Overall, this is a better than average beer, a solid adaptation of west-coast hops and belgian yeast into a tripel. I look forward to trying more styles from this brewery.
