Poured a 22oz bomber into two wine glasses.

A perfect copper orange color with a strong hints of sunflower, peach/apricot and honey that could be picked up from across the room.

A very smooth belgian style taste that is super easy to drink although not as strong of a taste compared to the smell. There's something very interesting happening towards the end that I can't quite put my finger on. The alcohol content is hidden very nicely and I'm inclined to try this again.

Shot out of the bottle like a volcanic eruption the second the cap came off the bottle - lost a bit as this caught me off guard.

Pours a dark apricot color into my handy snifter. Sudsy light head subsides quickly like sea foam on the beach.

Smells of fruit - getting apricot, sweet bread, clover honey.

Taste is somewhat similar characteristics plus nectar, agave - undertones of a very light bitterness.

Mouthfeel has moderate carbonation and this beer offers a bit of warmth with the 9% alcohol content (poured at room temperature).

Enjoyable.

Received as an extra in a trade and poured into my Duvel tulip.

A - A slow gusher this pours a slightly hazy dark orange amber hue with a big, big three finger off white head that fades to leave spotty lacing and a nice one finger blanket. Solid.

S - Some light barnyard hay, coriander, belgian spices, faint orange, surprising amount of alcohol, and well....wet dog.

T - Wheat, belgian spices, fair amount of orange peel, malty honey sweetness, alcohol, faint agave, light banana, and more alcohol.

M - Mouthfeel is a bit syrupy. Lowly carbonated. Not a huge fan.

O - Overall, I guess this was an okay beer. Far too much booze and sweetness here. Really didnt dig this one.

Big dry Belgian flavor totally dominates. Aroma is beery and not much else. Light body.

Clear golden color in the pilsener glass. Nice creamy foam. Not much of a fruit flavor, more of a grainy taste. Light cracker flavor with some hoppy flowers and bitter all the way to the end. An interesting lighter style of Strong Ale that is more like a Belgian Pale Ale. This just seems like too much of a good thing-- all yeast and no malt.

On tap at Rogue Ales in San Francisco.

A finger of head on an opaque, medium straw colored body.
The aroma is barnyard, hay and alcohol.
The taste is malty with hardly a hint of bitterness. A little booze and muddled lemon and cinnamon.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation and medium body.
A nice ale with good flavor and smell.

Nice amber-ish color out of the bottle, but hardly any head to it. The smell is better than the taste. Scent of pepper and hoppyness come through, but there is no big flavor that comes through. Just kinda blah. I won't pour it out but I won't buy it again.

Appearance: A somewhat clear light reddish color, with a thin head and light lacing.

Smell: Belgian spice, coriander, honey, and a touch of orange. A nice "Belgian style" scent.

Taste: Tasted a lot like a "light" quadrupel, although at 9% abv its hardly light; it's just a bit less intense than a quadrupel. Very complex. Is this really 9% (wow)?

Mouthfeel: Perfect mouthfeel. Very smooth, lightly carbonated.

Drinkability: I found this beer to be highly drinkable. Far better than the 3.08 rating it had when I reviewed it.
