Very tasty brew, my first coconut beer and one of the few beers i get an itch go pick up a couple of quite often. Toasted coconut is very apparent but not overdone, nothing fake about it to ruin the experience. The brown ale brings a dark chocolate and nuttiness that just reminds me of an almond joy in a can, basically. Very enjoyable and a fine way to end a night. First review, hope it's acceptable. Really enjoy this beer.

Drank it out of the can cause I felt like it was the badass thing to do.

A-Nice can design. Did pour a bit into the glass just to admire the nice brown hue and white colored head.

S-Nice sticky sweat malty brown ale taste. Not to heavily hopped and you get a complimentary coconut sidekick as well.

T-Holy wow. What an incredibly satisfying and balanced beer. The coconut is subtle yet incredibly meaty. Not overdone to the point where it tastes like sun tan lotion. Base beer is very malty without a ton of hop presence there.

M-Med. carbonated body and an incredibly easy drinker. Will easily be my new beach beer when summer comes. Incredibly refreshing.

O-Solid and outstanding. Really looking forward to more from Blackrocks.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, no canning date. Pours lightly hazy very dark reddish brown color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of caramel, chocolate, toast, toffee, coconut, nuttiness, biscuit, brown bread, brown sugar, light herbal, and toasted earthiness. Nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready malt and moderate coconut notes; with solid strength. Taste of big caramel, chocolate, cocoa, toast, toffee, coconut, biscuit, nuttiness, brown bread, brown sugar, herbal, and toasted earthiness. Minimal bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, chocolate, cocoa, toast, toffee, coconut, biscuit, nuttiness, brown sugar, herbal, and toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice balance and complexity of dark/bready malt and coconut flavors; with great robustness and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a moderately creamy, smooth, and lightly bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice flavored brown ale. All around good complexity and robustness of dark/bready malts and moderate coconut flavors; and very smooth to sip on. A very enjoyable offering.

A: Dark wood stain brown with a slight amber tinge when held to the light. Not light enough to see carbonation, 4 fingers of dirty snow beige head. Nice lacing.

S: Dark toasted malts, a little smokiness, coffee, burnt wood, not getting coconut.

T: Dark toasted malts, a little smokiness, a light sweetness. I wouldn’t distinguish it as coconut unless told. Dark chocolate, white chocolate, almost a vanilla quality (most likely the coconut in disguise).

M: Medium bready, lightly syrupy body, medium low carbonation.

O: A very nice brown ale, and I think it’s a great idea to add the coconut. The coconut is just a little too light in my opinion. Still, it’s a great brew.
