A very good session IPA. 12 oz can poured into a tulip glass, little head but yet a very sticky lacing. Color looks good, almost a slight haze to the light yellow huew. Pairs nice with smoked meat. Hops are very floral, accents of orange and tangerine. A must try session indian pale ale.

Appearance - Pours clear copper color with thick soapy white head and lots of sticky lacing.
Aroma - Light ripe mango, orange, lemon, light floral hops.
Taste - Taste is similar to the aroma but the fruit is much sweeter. Mango, pineapple, The malt and hops come out up front and the really sweet fruit comes on the finish.
Feel - medium bodied nice carbonation clean finish.
Overall - Really nice session IPA little sweeter than expected but still well balanced.

Today is New Beer Sunday (Week 681) & I am focusing on CANs. I know, shocking, right? The impetus is that I am finishing the CANtents of my Tavour Box #1 since Tavour Box #2 is on its way even as I type. Eeek! I stopped in at The FGBS & bought my stashed backlog & then visited H-n-T, all resulting in a massive amount of CANned beer to be CANsumed as part of The CANQuest (tm). However, for this one (& the next two), my CANtitude goes to @Mothergoose03 for not only sending me a load of Short's caps to be passed on to a local artist, but also CANcluding some locals in the package! I will be returning the favor! I love MichiCAN & its beers.
From the CAN: "Native Brewed in Marquette, Michigan"; "We at Blackrocks Brewery are proud to call Marquette, Michigan our home. Our name is inspired by the Black Rocks, located just north of town, where natives and visitors have gathered to enjoy Lake Superior for generations. We love beer. You love beer. Let's get together."; "This session IPA is loaded with Mosaic hops giving it an explosion of aroma. At 4.8% ABV you'll be able to stay up late and watch nature's light show in the northern Skye."
I Crack!ed this one open to get some foaming coming through the vent. This simply afforded me some calming time to do the above transcription. The culprit was another brimful craft CAN with nowhere for the tongue to go! No problem. I am a seasoned veteran at this sort of thing. I then CANmenced a slow, gentle Glug into the awaiting glass as it produced some nice foam all on its own. I gilded the lily with an in-glass swirl, raising three-plus fingers of foamy, rocky, bone-white head that quickly fell away, but left some great lacing in its wake. Color was just deep enough to call it solid Amber (SRM = > 7, < 9) with NE-quality clarity. Gorgeous! Nose had a slightly woody pine and lemony citrusiness. Mmm. Mouthfeel was medium, nicely done for a Session AIPA (a much-needed style designation). The taste was not as pronounced as on the nose, but I still stand by the piney woodiness with a light lemony citrusiness. Mmm. Finish was dry, but not overly bitter. It needed a higher IBU count for the style, but if Session AIPA existed, it would totally kill.

Thanks to rkitchen for this 12 oz. can that showed up as an extra in a recent trade. The number of breweries out there I’ve never even heard of is staggering.
The pour is golden with a touch of haze, but not enough to erect the new-money NE mobs. Bit of grapefruit in the nose, not much else. Spare.
Nordskye is a classic session ale. Nice grapefruit juice & pith up front, quick hit of bitterness, little mineral water, grassiness. Interesting that twenty seconds after a drink, you almost can’t taste it – evaporates like clean air on the palate. Light, refreshing, & easy to drink. Which is the point, eh?
One of the better session IPAs I’ve had, this isn’t water or annoying or yanking my leg hairs out. There should be more of them. Good beer.

12oz can, served in a willi becher glass. Pours a darker golden body, two finger white head, good retention and lots of lacing rings. Smell is light grainy biscuit, minimal honey sweetness, light floral and pine hop aromatics. Not a ton going here, but it's reasonably clean. Flavour follows, with a light floral and pine presence that isn't very bitter at all. Touch of light malt and biscuit hanging around. Mouthfeel is lighter medium bodied, good carbonation, crisp and refreshing, befitting the style.

Straw colored, slight cloudy, billowing head. Incredible malt with some hops. Well-balanced malt but definite American IPA. Drinks more than 4.8 ABV.
