Reviewing from notes and a solid ass memory.

Actual visit was in July 2013, which isn't the coolest of days in AZ as you may imagine so a nice comfortable place to down a few was very much needed.

It was fairly busy for a Monday night, as they had people on the wait list for tables as well as elbow to elbow at the bar. Menus were nice enough to quickly shake down the immense tap list, as well as prominently displayed chalkboards showing rotating/special taps. Only knock on the selection is that I was hoping for FAR more west coast or regional offerings. Maybe only 10% at best of the taps were pouring something I could not get back home (maybe we just have it awfully good in VA???). Had two pints and headed out but both were fresh, clean and properly presented (temp, glassware, head for style).

Did not order food, nor did I pay too much attention to prices or selection (sorry!!!) BUT if a wait for a table on Monday night tells you anything.....

Service was "ok", and that's giving the benefit of the doubt for how busy they were. Bartender seemed very anxious and overwhelmed (again, busy) but not in any way rude or pushy.

I'd go there again, no doubt. Just think I'd want to eat there next time!

First visit to a yard house. Glad I checked them out online-otherwise would have been overwhelmed with the selection. Was there as part of a large group for work but service was still top notch. Loved going somewhere that I could try something new - not a lot of brew pubs where I live.

Definitely looking for a chance to go to another location for more sampling.

If you want a large selection of beer, this is where to go. They have choices upon choices! They have over 100 on draft along with some bottles on their chalkboard menu, last bottle choice I saw had Sucaba on it. No the downfall in my opinion? Typical mass produced chain food restaurant food. Not that great unless you like that sort of thing or are intoxicated. It may be just me since I graduated from culinary school and was a chef for quite a few years but usually these chain food places just disappoint. Now if you just want to go and have some good beer and food is a distant second, than this is a great choice. Also be aware if you go on a Friday/Saturday night, especially when there is a game then expect to wait an hour or more sometimes.

I am always happy to see a Yard House when I am travelling. The chain is very consistent from city to city, state to state.

This Yard House is typical of the chain, with perhaps a more inviting layout than say the Las Vegas one, about on par with San Diego. A good sized place, with a large round bar in the center and a big dining room. Like LV, the place is located in a modestly upscale outdoor "town center" mall complex.

100+ taps of generally good beer, not much rotation. Six special taps, which were heavy on DFH beers on our visit. Awesome if you are from some place more than 100 miles from the brewery, less exciting if, like us, you have pretty good access. But still, FW Union Jack, Sublimely Self Righteous, Hop Head Red, all close to the source and fairly fresh, I'll take that any time, even though I can get those beers at home too.

Service was pleasant as it nearly always is. We had a snack which was fine.

Worth checking out if you are in the Glendale area.

West vally in Phoenix is in desperate need of more places like this. So much WT in the west valley, wow, it's tough to find a good pint of craft beer without all of the problems of most west valley bars. This place is a glorious exception.

Like all Yardhouse locations they have 100+ taps, with some good regional options, including IPA's. Never had a bad beer or dirty tapline experience here.

Food is good but pricey. Service is almost always great and something very important to me. You pay big bucks for dining out these days and I despise being treated poorly, but not at Yardhouse.

Parking is abundant, even with the sporting events. You can hit this place and Gordon Biersch without moving your car, which is nice.
