This bar is pretty much in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the H Street corridor in Washington DC. Red Palace is the product of the merging of the Palace of Wonders and the Red and the Black. It is still two seperate bars but you can go between the two without having to go outside.
This place is a divey place with random pictures literally covering one whole wall and part of the ceiling. The upstairs stage and bar is a great, naturally flowing venue that easily rivals similiar "rock/dark" bars in DC.
There is a big chaulkboard on the left side when you enter that lists mostly craft beers that easily rivals all the other bars in the area since they aren't as mainstreamed and on tap too! This place brings in brews from Great Lakes that aren't often available in bars throughout nearby VA or MD. A nice beer haven of my choice in the area next to Granville Moore's (a Belgian bar).
